Xhekaj not flying with the team. He is day to day. Harris is ok and just taking a therapy day.
See... and before they said he was traveling with the team. So much for believing anything that comes out of that organization. Next announcement - he is long term. Sigh.

Thrilled to see him with the team. Always been one of my favorite prospects.

He's an excellent skater to go with his strength which is why I think he'll have a good career in the NHL. I think he has 1st pairing upside.

IF he has 1st pairing upside and reaches it(possible but dubious imo) we will be such in a f***ing goot spot it can't be understated

Struble was the bald guy throwing them at the end of the last Laval game. Hopefully he can act as an enforcer for the west coast trip.

I haven’t been watching Laval games but is it true that when he hits someone hard, everyone in the crowd has to yell “ You’ve been Strudeled!” ?

What is the gain on the Habs side to lie about these things?

1st pairing upside!? Really?

I know we sometimes get excited about our prospects, but unless we fell into a Markov-Komisarek situation with Struble and some other elite D, I'm not sure Struble will be a top-4D in Montreal, much less have 1st pairing upside.

Nothing. Conspiracy theories are just another concoction from The 'Man'.

I thought Struble had 1st pairing upside from Day 1. My post history is clear on that.

I definitely think he has second pairing upside. I feel he's a slow but steady learning guy and hope he can grow his offensive game in due time.
He has the tools, and he has shown the toolbox can still grow and adapt. Hope he can follow a trajectory similar to Hedman on this matter (not comparing him to Hedman, just the trajectory).

I know the jump from the AHL to the NHL is huge but this kid is almost too good for the AHL. Hopefully he is able to adjust to the speed quickly.
Has only played a total of 21 AHL games (including 9 last year). One cannot expect him to dominate or excel. Hope he adapts well to the NHL pace. Looking forward to his continued development in the AHL. Good vibes for Struble long term.

Not sure he is a first pairing guy, but opponents will not like skating by him as he adjusts to the NHL speed.

1st pairing is a stretch. I don’t think it’s impossible but not very likely imo.

I did want him to marinate a bit more to see if he could get his offensive game going more. The knock on his offensive game when drafted was he didn’t have the greatest shot but he unleashed a howitzer a couple weeks ago. Was hoping to see more of that.

2nd pairing is possible but he’d have to leap frog some pretty talented kids on this team to do that. Who knows though. He’s really surprised me since being kind of quiet his last couple college years. Hope he can keep doing that. He’s gotta lot going for him. Big fan

this was inevitable. With Arber out, Marty called team soft after the Boston game. Let him play. In fact, him AND Arber should be in the lineup - if his game can translate from Laval.
