Yes for sure.

Its mostly Norlinder and the Keefer guy that Im not sure about. Probably could use actual AHL pros there instead of them. A guy like Wideman could be really useful if he ever comes back.

What I'm hoping is that all these guys are better defensively than they've shown since it all looks pretty messy. Hoping it's a coaching systems thing.

When I saw that highlight of Norlinder going end to end, it reminded me of D+1 Norlinder. I can't throw away that guy just yet. He's a bit long in the tooth prospect wise but it's still only early in his 2nd pro season and we're seeing flashes of what he shown a few years ago.

I still think he's a long shot but I was ready to throw in the towel on him the last 2 years yet he seems to at least be giving us those glimpses of what many of us saw in 2019.

I love that both he and Struble are showing more of the offensive flair of late that they flashed in their D+1s. I thought they were both busting a year ago. Obviously one is showing more than the other but theirs positives for Norlinder too that I'll take anyways. Both have had their share of injuries so hopefully some more sustained health can show more significant gains.

He's been good defensively. Starting to come around offensively

He has more offense in him than what we’re used to see of him. He’s starting to show it

He looked like he was opening up his game quite a bit last night offensively. Good to see. Still only his first full pro season. If he can stay healthy, it'll really help him hopefully get that swagger back.

Be honest with you, Norlinder had two good plays and did nothing all game. Hes bad at actual in-zone offense. Hes pretty much busted already.

If Xhekaj cannot play next game, what about calling up the 22 year old physical stay-at-home defenseman Jayden Struble for a "look see"? He seems less high risk than the others.

Honestly, I wouldn’t. Let him develop. It’s not like they’re making the playoffs.

I would too. Give him a few games to know whats up. Not too long though, Id rather he polishes his offensive game some more.

Understood, but having him play a few games with the Habs would be beneficial. Struble is 22 and could experience the NHL speed and physicality before a return to the AHL. Absolutely not a "playoff" move.

We dont know yet how long this could be. Besides, maybe I’m being selfish, but I’d rather see him help Laval win then play 12 minutes a night for a rebuilding team.
