You gotta go Carter, Hunter, or Campbell in that order.

Campbell should not be your first choice. If Carter and Hunter aren't there, then fine.
Yah, Carter and Hunter are a cut above if they are there. I'm not sure if I take Campbell next. I'm not sure how much they get for moving down either, unless someone really likes Sanders. Im just glad we got Maye last year. This draft blows.

If Carter and Hunter are gone at 4, I'd trade down honestly.

Campbell is not an LT at the NFL level. The arm length/wingspan thing sounds dumb, but there is literally years of evidence to support it.

You can't take a reach pick at 4 on someone that will struggle at LT and end up at guard.

I think it makes a ton of sense to move up from #38, and that should drive some of their decisions. The OTs and WRs are going to rise. Rich Hill Draft Pick Trade chart says #38 & #69 could get them up to #26, but I'd guess it'd probably cost a bit more. Rams don't pick between 26 and 90, so might want to close that gap, same with MIN (no picks between 24 and 97), or PIT (no picks between 21 and 83).

Maybe CHI moves up, something like 10 & 39 for 4 & 105. Or NO, with 9, 40, & 111 for 4 & 69. Or CAR, with 8, 74, & 110 for 4 & 145.

Is a logical question still where was this aggressiveness last offseason when they had oodles of cap space and a bad roster? Either Wolf and Mayo were under some budget restrictions (paying off Belichick?) or Wolf was basically Chaim Bloom and could never pull the trigger on any significant move.

Yah he is - he’s a stud LT he ass kicked every edge rusher I saw.

Absolutely the pick to take if Carter or Hunter not there

So I have a few thoughts. I'm going to ignore the attractiveness of the team (coaching, QB, etc). They are clearly more attractive with Vrabel and Maye, but considering the money they've thrown around today, I think difference is driven more by teambuilding tactics, where there are a few considerations.

The first is that I'm not sure what the power dynamic was between Mayo and Wolf last year compared to Vrabel and Wolf this year, so he may have a different level of decision-making power. Perhaps Wolf had more power last year, but less this year, in which case the difference is due to Vrabel's aggressiveness compared to Mayo's.

Maybe Wolf has the same power as last year. In that case, we know Wolf was brought up in the Green Bay system, where they largely stay out of free agency and focus on drafting and developing. He knows free agents are bad value, so he'd generally prefer to limit spending there. They took some low cost risks last year, which had minimal impact, but that experience could have shifted his mindset to take more risks.

There's another reason he'd be willing to take more risks this year. I would not be the least bit surprised if Vrabel pushes Wolf out in a year. He brought in Cowden, who he wanted as GM in Tennessee, so Wolf's replacement is already in the organization. Wolf won't be here next year if they fail in free agency and the draft again, so that adds some additional desperation with the moves he makes.

Wolf is getting decision makes coffee this year and contractually probably needs to sign the offer but that's it. My guess is he is gone after the draft.

Most of the LT prospects should be there 2nd round.

This is a good day none of these signings are garbage.
But if Campbell is still viewed as a better OL than those guys I don't know if I would hate taking Campbell. Just keep improving the roster however you can.

If I had to venture a guess, Campbell's probably the leader in the clubhouse at #4, assuming the first three picks are Ward, Carter, and Hunter, in some order. Unless the news on Barmore is bad, and he's likely to be medically retired, I struggle to see them investing so much in one position, between having two $20M+ DTs AND using #4 on Graham. Sure, you're rotating them anyway, but that's tough asset management.

I wouldn't be surprised if their preference looks something like this:
Plan A: Carter
Plan B: Hunter
Plan C: Trade down
Plan D: Campbell

Door #3...Kraft is feeling the fan pressure and seeing his revenue drop so he ok'd not being a tight wad this offseason

And a lesser factor, the promise Maye showed last year makes them a more attractive destination

Usually the team that "wins" day 1 of free agency ends up being a loser, but man I like what they've done. This class is significantly better than the one Belichick signed for Mac Jones rookie year. That was a lot of overpaid mediocrity.

I've been thinking about how this free agency class compares to that one, and I think you might be underestimating how it was viewed at the time.

2021 - Noteworthy Signings
M. Judon
H. Henry
J. Smith
J. Mills
N. Agholor
D. Godchaux
K. Van Noy
K. Bourne

2025 - Noteworthy Signings
M. Williams
C. Davis
H. Landry
R. Spillane
M. Moses

Both had a splash signing (Judon/Williams). There's no Agholor/Mills moves yet, where we all hated it immediately. Both Jonnu and Henry were pretty highly regarded (NFL.com had them has the 16th & 17th best players in the class). I think they were viewed more highly than any of Davis, Spillane, or Moses. I think the big thing is that they completely re-made the offensive skill positions, and that combined with Mac led to a massive improvement on offense. Similarly, defense has been significantly re-made today, at all three levels.

Well we needed a WR. He makes contested catches. Big ones.

He's not a #1 by any means. But good start.

Getting Travis Hunter is ideal for me now. Especially if they're not trading for a WR.
