It was notes from a 60 minute podcast interview, so it's hard to do that.

This part made me go hmmmm.

Who does that sound like?
Thx for the exerpt.
A combo between bad drafting&development.
JB certainly didn't get out the best of Mitts...quite the contrary
Same goes for Thompson.
The only ones that are doing ok is the ones he left were he hadn't much influence overseas.
They just needed a finishing touch.
VO (drafted by Murray) & Pilut (good find no complaints there) Asplund (drafted by Murray)
He ignored too many good forwards for d with limited potential in late 1st early 2nd.
His strange pick trades instead of drafting & taking a gamble.
I am not sold on his overaged selections.
I ll clap if the first notable player who wasn't a pro before graduates from the Amerks.

This is awesome. How will Sabres PR bully her?

Kinda surprised Vogl posted this to be honest

Vogl and Yeardon seem to have given fewer and fewer shits over the last month or so. Now will they carry water on a Reinhart for meh deal? We'll find out.

The whole organisation under him seems terrified of risk since ROR.

I get upset every time I think of this. Botterill did things completely backwards.

He shouldve been patient when it came to, ROR, one of the best players on his team.

And he should be aggressive overhauling the rest of the roster and dump the real trash.

The song is quality. Sometimes parodies have a good hook and the rest sounds forced but she nailed every lyric.

My God, that snippet from Friedman's column actually gave me a glimmer of hope - of course this organization has to squash it. Fans want to hear that there is some accountability for this tire fire.

And he followed that up today by saying via his segment on The Instigators, that league people said folks in Buffalo didn't like him putting that out there. Someone has heard something and is upset with Friedman's column. Which is good - they should be plenty upset. The fans are. Some of the players who aren't dead inside after years of this buffoonery are. Maybe the owner should get upset too? Or the "oh, gee, it's a situation where we didn't win again but we feel like we played good and stuff" should get back to his rage during the LA game THREE SEASONS AGO and get to tearing into things.

Actually, having seen his body of work, I would like the GM to remain numb and to be guided out quietly by security, having enough time to get his things from his desk and his office philodendron.

Exactly this. The last thing this franchise needs is for Botterill "to do somethin." f***ing moron's done enough.

Let this sink in, The Buffalo Sabres organization doesn't want the public to know they (the owners) are not happy with the GM. It's not a matter of them denying the report. It's the fact they don't want it public that upsets them. Something tells me they are worried these past two hires may have fans start questioning their ability to build a winner, and they can't have that kind of bad PR.

We already are questioning that hiring ability. They have operated like yokels over and over and over again. It isn't out there -- the team on the ice is pretty terrible PR. Then add in all of the issues with the arena and fan experience? Optics aren't to be managed here. They need to stand up and f***ing do something right. Promise to fix the issues at the rink and here's the important part... DO IT IN A TIMELY MANNER WITHOUT IT COMING OUT OF THE FANS' POCKETS. And then while they are at it, start looking for someone to give this front office a top-to-bottom audit and review while finding a new GM. There is a lot of reason most if not all of their professional scouting staff should never work in hockey above mites ever again.

I'm not talking about people here on these boards. I'm talking about the more casual fans.

My exposure to fans is purely electronic and at a distance. Those folks seem to want a giant cranium put on a pike as much as we do, even if they were late adopters.

Being out and about in Buffalo, I run into so many fans that just have a casual understanding of the team. They see wins or losses but don't see the "behind the scenes stuff" that we daily observe here.

Once those fans start to turn, then you're in trouble. I saw it with Byslma/Murray, I saw it with Housley.

Was just going to say that this is how it begins - with outrage from the fans, then quiet rumblings in the media, followed by the owner giving total support to the GM, and then the inevitable firing. We are about half way there!!
