Thx for the exerpt. It was notes from a 60 minute podcast interview, so it's hard to do that.
This part made me go hmmmm.
Who does that sound like?
Actually the Amerks had similar results from 2012 to 14That gets their ass kicked in the playoffs, year after year. He can't even do that right.
Looks like even Friedman is getting heat. Are we at rock bottom again?
This is awesome. How will Sabres PR bully her?
Kinda surprised Vogl posted this to be honest
I don't use social media much but those of you who do and know how to help things go viral, you have your mission. She nailed that song. Absolutely nailed it.
I want this thing to go viral.
The whole organisation under him seems terrified of risk since ROR.
My God, that snippet from Friedman's column actually gave me a glimmer of hope - of course this organization has to squash it. Fans want to hear that there is some accountability for this tire fire.
SameLost it at "it's a situation where we suck." Good stuff.
Exactly this. The last thing this franchise needs is for Botterill "to do somethin." f***ing moron's done enough.Actually, having seen his body of work, I would like the GM to remain numb and to be guided out quietly by security, having enough time to get his things from his desk and his office philodendron.
And he followed that up today by saying via his segment on The Instigators, that league people said folks in Buffalo didn't like him putting that out there. Someone has heard something and is upset with Friedman's column. Which is good - they should be plenty upset. The fans are. Some of the players who aren't dead inside after years of this buffoonery are. Maybe the owner should get upset too? Or the "oh, gee, it's a situation where we didn't win again but we feel like we played good and stuff" should get back to his rage during the LA game THREE SEASONS AGO and get to tearing into things.

Let this sink in, The Buffalo Sabres organization doesn't want the public to know they (the owners) are not happy with the GM. It's not a matter of them denying the report. It's the fact they don't want it public that upsets them. Something tells me they are worried these past two hires may have fans start questioning their ability to build a winner, and they can't have that kind of bad PR.
We already are questioning that hiring ability. They have operated like yokels over and over and over again. It isn't out there -- the team on the ice is pretty terrible PR. Then add in all of the issues with the arena and fan experience? Optics aren't to be managed here. They need to stand up and ****ing do something right. Promise to fix the issues at the rink and here's the important part... DO IT IN A TIMELY MANNER WITHOUT IT COMING OUT OF THE FANS' POCKETS. And then while they are at it, start looking for someone to give this front office a top-to-bottom audit and review while finding a new GM. There is a lot of reason most if not all of their professional scouting staff should never work in hockey above mites ever again.
I'm not talking about people here on these boards. I'm talking about the more casual fans.
My exposure to fans is purely electronic and at a distance. Those folks seem to want a giant cranium put on a pike as much as we do, even if they were late adopters.
Was just going to say that this is how it begins - with outrage from the fans, then quiet rumblings in the media, followed by the owner giving total support to the GM, and then the inevitable firing. We are about half way there!!Being out and about in Buffalo, I run into so many fans that just have a casual understanding of the team. They see wins or losses but don't see the "behind the scenes stuff" that we daily observe here.
Once those fans start to turn, then you're in trouble. I saw it with Byslma/Murray, I saw it with Housley.
