I'm not sure what argument you're referring to, you responded to my post where I was saying I don't think Kleven is getting in any sooner due to Chychrun's injury: my rationale was that the season is not getting saved one way or the other, so there's no reason to rush his schedule. Play him when he's ready to play.

You're introducing the question of whether we have anyone that could potentially save the season, but it's not relevant to my position. If we do, sure, play that guy I guess, since we don't, who we replace Chychrun with has no impact on the season, so we'll likely just do what's in the best interest of the players development and stick with the existing plan.
I would rather bring up JBD or Thomson to give them some NHL games and see how they are developing than continue to play Holden who will/should not be on the team next season.

To be fair Liver King is absolutely a clown lol. Not saying Chychrun gets his caveman diet from that guy but if he does then yeah he’s got some powder and a red nose on.

Regardless, Arizona fans told us all this. They said dude is made of glass, is meh defensively and is pretty electric in the O zone. Assessment seems pretty accurate as of today.

Still likely a good trade for us but this is why all the Sens fans talking about a fleecing were lying to themselves.

There wasn't one person that ever mentioned Chychrun's name who wasn't aware of his injury history. The trade wasn't a fleecing but the return was still better then the cost. Arizona was originally asking for the moon and that was an overvaluation, but even the modest packages proposed that weren't quite what the Coyote's were looking for were of greater value than what was paid. And that's taking injury history into consideration.

Exactly this.

Compared to what the Yotes were originally looking for, it was a fleecing.

I’m just pointing it out as he keeps getting injured. Guy should stop listening to scam influencers for diet advice and get a dietitian. That’s all I’m saying. What he’s doing is clearly not working.
I think it probably has more to do with changing his workouts to strengthen stabilizers and such than changing what he eats. I’m not sure this is a dietary issue.

Can we get big Z back here with the rest of the old greats?
Guy ate a mostly plant based diet and could kick anyone and everyone’s ass into his 40s.
Plants reduce inflammation and accelerate healing. Animal flesh does the opposite.
I don’t know if he’s really eating a “carnivore” diet but if he is it’s certainly not helping. And that’s just got to be one of the craziest trends I’ve seen in my lifetime, people eating raw bloody flesh thinking for some unscientific reason it’s good for them. Kinda scary how something like that can gain traction. But it’s a really small percentage of the population and I guess nothing should surprise me at this point.
The Jordan Peterson/Joe Rogan effect.
Whatever the case, just get straightened out and get healthy Jake we gonna need you big time.

Mediterranean diet would be perfect for NHL players.

While his injury history is certainly a concern two of those seasons were shortened. He played 63 games out 70 in 2019-20 and all 56 games in 2020-21.

Just thought there should be a context put to that average GP stat.
Click bait post for sure....and he missed significant time this year being held out

Ok yeah I didn’t know this about him. The guy is a moron unfortunately. Hope this doesn’t have any effect on any of our smarter players.
We are 99% ape (bonobo, chimp
dna). They eat 99% fruits and a bit of insect, seeds, foliage.
Come on man, nutrients? You want nutrients so you eat raw bloody flesh? And where did that animal get its nutrients? Oh…plants.
Again, come on man get your head in the game. See Serena williams, see Zdeno chara, Georges Laraque, Lewis Hamilton, Novak djokavic, Derek treesize, Patrik Baboumian, see gorillas, elephants, rhinos, etc. you don’t get strength from eating flesh. Unless you’re an actual carnivore. See the lion. You’re not a lion sorry to break it to you bud.

I'm also eating raw liver, raw beef heart, doing all this crazy stuff," admitted Chychrun this week. "The taste is awful, but your body almost craves it when you eat it consistently because it's just so nutrient dense."

Tbf organ meat is hyper nutritious.

I guess. If you say so. For who though? For cats, for humans, for gorillas? For all animals?
Is this backed by scientific studies?
Not trying to be an ass. I’m genuinely curious if this is proved scientifically anywhere. Not that I’m ever going to start eating anyones organs. :)

They like to “eat like our ancestors”. Which in itself is hilarious. But yea.

There is an awful lot of pseudoscience and flat out bad advice in the fitness community - there's no doubt about that. When I heard Chychrun talking about his raw meat diet, red flags popped up all over the place for me. There's no doubt the guy works his tail off in the gym, but to your point he needs to be listening to actual certified experts with degrees when it comes to training and diet issues...

Chara and Djokavic are great examples. The ultimate example is Tom Brady though who ate a predominantly plant based diet and had the most outlier career in the history of professional sports. Nate Diaz might have been the most durable fighter in MMA history and he ate plant based as well and carved out a career based on that toughness and durability even if he was limited athletically.

I think when you’re young you can eat awful and get away with it, but as you get older the goal should be recovery- and predominantly plant food diets are the way to go there.

Eating carnivore can work if you have some weird/rare autoimmune diseases, but it simply is not optimal for an athlete.

"Multiple weeks" for Chychrun? There's less than 3 weeks remaining in the season, so JC's injury is at best close to a season ending injury.

Grieg and Chychrun are 2 players in our organization that I fear will never reach their potential because of continued injuries. Call it karma, or whatever. Sometimes (with some people), that's just the way it goes. I really hope I'm wrong about this.

they’re young. They have lots of time to get a better routine in place. Hopefully our doctors and training staff are teaching the right things. Might have to get shoulder specialist on the payroll.

Holy f*** some of you are cringe as shit.

He had injuries before he was even on this diet. We also don’t know if he does or does not eat other fruits and veggies to complement his raw meat diet. I don’t think he even used the word carnivore diet.

And if he does only eat raw meat? That’s his choice. He is an absolute tank clearly due to his protein intake and he feels good on it.
