Jack Hughes Out Week to Week ( upper body) Is there concern that he is becoming injury prone?

It is going to be hard for Jack Hughes to be the 2nd best player in the world for the next decade if he starts becoming injury-prone.
 
I heard he took a hit in the 2nd period against Vancouver and the trainer was massaging his back/shoulder

I assume week to week means the team will be doing an evaluation once a week. so I hope by this time next week we get a good update.

the fact that he finished the game and then went to practice but couldnt finish it makes me think it's not overly serious,

I wonder if he tweaked/popped out a rib or something. hard to get it especially if it happens behind the shoulder blade. couple visits with the chiropractor and few days rest and he hopefully is ready to return sometime next week

only 15 goals to 50 be nice to see him get there

This is a good point, and only a concern for Jack Hughes, who will miss a week or two for the first time this season.

I still wouldn't bet against him breaking the franchise records for goals and points. If he misses two weeks they'll have 24 games left for him to score 14 goals and 30 points and break both records. Both are well within reach the way he's been playing.

He’s not becoming injury-prone, he either is or he isn’t. Sorry, just a thing that bugged me once I noticed- unless OP is trying to say they add up and cause further injuries or somethin.

I don’t mean to be a dick, but this is one of the dumbest things I’ve read in a while.

No shit the implication was if he played all 82 he’d break them…and he still might anyway.

He's like a Pat Lafontaine or Paul Kariya. He's small and not that strong but always in the middle of the action. Most of the time he can make opponents miss. I don't know if I'd call him injury prone but I suspect injuries are going to follow him around and it's just something the Devils and he are going to have to learn to live with. I also think the Devils are going to give him as much ice time as he can handle. He's just their best player and it's not close even though they have some other really really good players.

I dunno man, I still do not see it. Not saying it didn't happen, but that angle...j just don't see it.

Then again, Tkachuk boys are sneaky dirty little f***ers who had a good teacher...
 
The way he lands on his shoulder/arm hurts like hell, I've done that slipping on the ice and it took awhile before it felt like normal. I think Brady must have been roughhousing and didn't mean anything by it but still pretty stupid to do in a meaningless game.

Good hockey player but not the brightest bulb in the house. He just looks it.

The Hughes and Tkachuk family are close I believe! If anything Brady was probably busting chops and it almost went poorly, just an unfortunate turn of events

I dont think Jacks injury (or soreness) has anything to do with that Tkachuk play!

MacKinnon misses times every season basically and there isn't no thread about him being injured prone

hfboards can be so jealous some times, can't see other fanbases having fun with their players that they will try their best to spoil the party (and not saying Devils fan don't do the same, especially with the McPower Play thing even if tongue in cheek)

Except if this really came down to "jealousy" then there would be threads about MacKinnon because every hockey fan in North America is surely more jealous of the Avs for having Nate Dogg than the Devils with Hughes

some people are probably happy Hughes is injured probably.

Still no "Why another Hughes thread" post. Guess those people are happy when its this type of thread.

Hughes has swag, Mac is a good Canadian boy, easier target and at least in HFBOARDS world, Jack's more popular and has received a lot of praise and threads in the main board. Devils also much more hated than Avs. Some people just can't handle seeing players from other teams getting all the talk. Same happened with Leafs when they started creating tons of threads about Matthews, any struggle was a reason for trolls to talk shit about the guy
