It was completely asinine and unnecessary in an ASG though I’ll say. Like what the hell was his objective there?
Would he, or anyone on the planet, expect an injury to come out of that?

That was some school yard stuff you see people do all the time when they’re joking around.

He wasn’t doing anything to try and injure

Because he played after this happened. Always have to blame someone eh. He finished the ASG too.

It could be something completely unrelated but guys tweak things, try to play through it and end up aggravating injuries further all the time. I don't think finishing the ASG is really proof that he got hurt somewhere else.

So under “objective” you’re going with “joking around”? That’s an even dumber reason than I would have even given him credit for.

I dont think anyone is claiming that he sucks but that injury list isnt really a narrative, its a consistent pattern.

Number 1 rule in sports.... the best Ability is Availability
A consistent pattern of totally unrelated things that could happen to literally anyone. Weird how his injury proneness didn’t effect him in the first 50 games of the year.

Happens all the time. Dont pretend to know everything that happened during the game on monday or in practice.

Its an ASG if he was hurt he would have stopped.
Sometimes injuries don’t flare up until the next day(s). He could of also tried to play through it before telling the medical staff it was bothering him.

The way he landed on his shoulder in the all star game, it could very possibly be the root cause of the injury.

Bruh, it’s a freak accident that had like a less than 1% chance of causing injury.

It’s not Tkachuks fault that Hughes has muscles that resemble of bag of milk.
When you’re on ice, literally anything can cause an injury. If Tkachuk thought he was “joking around” doing that in all star game he’s orders of magnitude dumber than I had thought. And trust me, I already had him pegged as dumber than rocks. Must be a dominant Tkachuk gene.

You’re making a big deal out of absolutely nothing. You’re literally the only one in here who sees a single issue with what he did.

I have more of an issue with your asinine “explanation” than I even have with what he did lol. If he’s grabbing a guy from the blindside in an ASG because he’s “joking around”, he’s a dumbass and so is anyone that thinks that line of thought actually computes.

“Grabbing a guy by the blindside” ? 😂

You’re more dramatic than my wife

Watch the video or have someone describe it frame by frame to you if you’re having visual processing issues.

But great job sidestepping your comical take about his motivation

Let’s stop acting like it was some dirty gruesome play. If Hughes can get injured from that, it’s either a freak accident or there needs to be some injury concerns with him.
So just to be clear, you don't have a theory as to his motivation on the play?

Honestly, it doesn't have to be a dirty gruesome play. It was still idiotic. And if someone did that to Stutzle and he got hurt, even if it was a freak result of a rather innocuous play, Sens fans would be upset because it was so unnecessary.

All that said, still don't know that it has anything to do with that but that really doesn't change the overall idiocy of the action in an all star game.

Why isn't anyone complaining about another Hughes thread? are people happy that he's injured?

Not sure why it's a reach when there was no noticeable play in the most recent game that would've caused an injury and Jack was on the ice for the OT winner.

There was a hit in the Vancouver game, wasn't super big or anything, I don't remember what period it was but the people who sit around me at the games commented on it too.
