Patrik Stefan played at a lesser pace.

Although, terrible missed empty net aside, I think that honor goes to Rick Dipietro.

Anyway, I don’t think that hit was intentional but Hughes probably should receive some form of disciplinary action if the NHL wants to maintain a semblance of zero tolerance.

To be fair. Atlanta was an expansion team, the team finished with 14 wins and was a shitty draft year..
Stefan had 25 pts finishing 6th with his team

1st round pick 1999, he finishes 6th in points with 188pts (both sedins, Connolly, Havlat and Taylor Pyatt)
15th in all draft.

Ain’t nobody reading your location unless it’s pointed out. Figured Mass would have more class than Philly but I guess that takes us back to the young thing.

What about the username "I Hate Philadelphia" and a 1975 "last cup ever" flyers jersey screams "flyers fan!!" to you?

Seriously, I want to know the thought process (or lack thereof) here.

I suspect it's more like "Ornje jersey mus be flyer fan" but correct me if I'm wrong.

Looks like it might have been a lot worse if he didn't turn the left as much as he did. The placement of closer to the middle of the leg probably prevent a far worse situation. Nonetheless, can't have that.

I mean, there is a lot of self loathing in Philadelphia.

Read the post first and didn’t pay attention to the rest. Wasn’t interested.

Don’t think he’s trying to go for the knee. It looks like he’s trying to hit him and Fabbri kind of moves out of the way and the legs collide. Legit think Hughes doesn’t know how to throw a hit, which makes it’s dangerous and Hughes should see a fine coming his way. The retaliation was intentional and dangerous but I don’t think knee on knee was.

For context, Hughes felt like Fabbri threw an elbow a few seconds before this. Retaliation for the hit, which looks like Fabbri is trying to toss an elbow also.

Pretty relevant context here that the OP conveniently left out.

Two potential dangerous plays...not just one.

I'm posting this again because Context is always everything :

Jack didn't all of a sudden say "You know what? I'm going to do my best Brad Marchand impersonation!" :silly:

There was a source to that moment of madness, and here it is.

And mind you, this isn't just a one-off thing.

Jack's been batted around like a Pinball all game long by the Wings players so when Fabri went up high(along with another player I forget the name of), Jack saw red(pun not intended) and tried to nail Fabri with an open-ice hit but as we Devils fans over here found out :

Jack sucks at open-ice hits and Fabri dodged him anyway and that created the perfect storm of them going Knee-on-knee.

Surprised that Jack didn't tear up his knee either in that situation.

BTW, at the end of the game, Bertuzzi did a douchey thing by going after him way after the game was just about over.

I mean...the Wings scored a PP goal with Hughes in the box so, in essence, they got their revenge but I guess it wasn't enough and they wanted to "deliver a message" or something.

Though I think this was just Bertuzzi being like his uncle. :sarcasm:

Yeah? You can tell from THAT video that Fabbri made a “dangerous” play?

You must have one hell of an incredible eye sight.
