Don’t know what happened to the Maurice thread but this should be close to the end of the line for him.

We aren't getting Honka for a 3rd...

Also, not sure if he's got what it takes...

Dallas that defensive juggernaut isn't even budging... :sarcasm:
They aren’t getting a second how about will throw in Bitetto with a 3rd round adds solid grit in the lineup and I believe a 3rd would be enough

The defensive personnel isn’t good, don’t get me wrong. It’s far from an ideal circumstance. But to suggest that Maurice should be given the benefit of the doubt because of it is something I really can’t get behind. He’s squeezed what he can from this group and his roster decisions are holding this team back. Not exclusively, but it plays a not insignificant role.

Just think of the sheer talent and the payroll of that roster he had last year and he pretty much tanked it. That's Fn hard to do.

Yes, he's making enough bad decisions to set himself up as the sacrificial lamb. If they are looking for one, look no further.
He's in a tough spot - deserved or not. Any coach with this D roster would be nervous.
The GM pretty much set up this house of cards and he'll be looking around the room soon -
It's a bit of a mess and if it continues, it might get messy.

Personally, I can't see anyone getting us out of this problem this season - but if Buff wonders back into the picture and the kids get a little more comfortable, you never know.

When you are in PM's situation...

Courage is the only way out...

Don't say defensive shit in the post games... play and coach the future players...

No matter how much it would hurt...

The fans will forgive rookies and developing players...

The fans will not forgive experienced yet sub par players no matter what their contract...

This is a "very very " good idea --this Honka guy is available, and will not play in Dalllas --and has asked to be traded. I believe the Jet's can pick him up at a good price --like a 3rd round pick. Apparaently he has some real good upside, although I haven't seen him play.

It's worth a shot.
Yes I’ve been waiting for the Jets to make a trade makes a lot of sense for them with Low risk/high reward make it happen Chevy :naughty:

Even if Buff wanders back is he going to be in any condition to help us? He has allegedly not trained in 4 to 5 months from what we have heard. Hard to imagine he will be in playing shape let alone great shape anytime in the next few months.

It hurts my head to even think back how long ago this team tuned out Maurice collectively. The results speak for themselves now.

At the end of the day talent can only carry you so far as we have been shown the past few seasons.

So long and so overdue of getting rid of this guy.

No doubt but he needs to be all in on playing an up tempo game or its not going to work and that starts by dressing the appropriate personnel and then coaching them as a 5 man unit in the dzone.

He prevents himself from going all in by playing his perceived safety net players (The good group guys) that aren't any better defensively then the kids.

His dexterity with monofilament I hear is devine...

His Improved Clinch Knot is world class...

I get what you driving at -
But at this point, it's a tire fire.
I've been spewing the hard work, fast pace, speed story for awhile now - but I look at our issues and I'm seeing deeper cracks than what a little speed will fix.
As for the roster? Same answer - we don't have the bodies to fix our D and if you can't fix the D, why talk about the rest of it.

Do I sound discouraged? You bet.

He needs better players (D)

So why do we sign these guys?

I see where you are going with this...

You are right... why... ?

Because Chevy has benefited from a very good scouting group...

Also because he trusted/was involved with the scouting group...

Po'Mo' has achieved nothing in the previous 2 years with a very good core...

"Why" is a word for those that failed at their salient position...

And they are saying that word in past tense...
