Development- If the team sees the A or Finland in his best interest long term development then they won’t keep him on the team.

Cap - It’s not about his cap now, it’s about saving his ELC deal for another year and not burning it now. NHL teams plan their cap out 1-5 years in advance so clearly they weren’t expecting him to be this good so soon. Couple this with development and I can see why they might not keep him in the NHL.

Well of course if they see it as the best for his development they will do that. And water is wet. Why would they see that when he appears to have been more than capable of handling NHL play?

Talking about sliding his ELC is a little more clear than talking about the cap.

What's best for his development is the opinion of management.....not fans. Like I said it's pretty why he is sent down if he is.........people seem confused as to why he isn't playing and why he would be sent down.....I just explained why and it's clear.....if it happens. Sliding his ELC is b/c of cap benefits, that's why you slide it.
