Definitely will be, so many young players on the team are still developing. I would go as far as to include Suzuki in there too.And next year will be a development year

The biggest issue is how the Habs outrageously dominate the sports landscape in Montreal. Bring in an NBA, MLB or NFL team and it might impact on the type of coverage we’ve been seeing. The Montreal media, has a TMZ vibe to it............and it's getting worse by the day.
I believe Jake and his snake are out for the season. Is Jake injured?
Dobes needs playing time, convenient.
Rocket doesn't play until Friday. Primeau gets next game for a surgical tank vs Wings then goes back down.Is Jake injured?

Saw that but there may also be an issue with Allen. If there is, Primeau would be deemed an emergency call-up and wouldn’t count as a regular call-up. Habs had 4 call-up options and have used 3 already. They would certainly prefer keeping that last one in their back pocket in case.Rocket doesn't play until Friday. Could it be possible that a potential trade partner wants to see him play?Saw that but there may also be an issue with Allen. The heat in MTL if he is a low end centreMatias Brunet not high on PLD today; writing people should temper their enthusiasm for the 69th scorer in the league… He’s not wrong, kid will have a lot of people staring at him expecting production!
People should expect what he's been so far: a 60-65 pts 200-feet forward.Matias Brunet not high on PLD today; writing people should temper their enthusiasm for the 69th scorer in the league… He’s not wrong, kid will have a lot of people staring at him expecting production!
I disagree. Bergevin always straddled the fence, running his arse hole right along the spikes, hoping not to fall too heavily at any given time. There are always prospects and young players left over from the previous regime when a new general manager takes over , it's the same for every team , it isn't indicative of the first 3-4 years of a rebuild in progress . Bergevin built the team that made it to the cup finals in 2021 and was fired early the following season after a terrible start . Full stop . The players you mention are proof that he participated in drafts , made trades and contributed to the day to day running of the organization , again not indicative of the first 3-4 years of a rebuild in progress . Does he get credit for the acquisitions (not Dach) ? Of course he does but those acquisitions were made to stock/restock the farm , not to begin a rebuild , that started when GMKH was hired in Jan./22 .
Because he's still young and has had periods where he's been more, such as the first 50 games of this year before he got injured. Dan Robertson, who watches him every game, thinks there may be more.People should expect what he's been so far: a 60-65 pts 200-feet forward.
I'm not sure why anyone would expect more...
Is that all he said ?Matias Brunet not high on PLD today; writing people should temper their enthusiasm for the 69th scorer in the league… He’s not wrong, kid will have a lot of people staring at him expecting production!

That he shows more sometimes doesn't mean he's going to achieve constancy one day. That's the trap people fell in when they expected Drouin to be star.Because he's still young and has had periods where he's been more, such as the first 50 games of this year before he got injured. Do you watch him every game?
Suzuki-Dach-Dubois down the middle.Play all 3 of Dach, Suzuki, and Dubois at center, give Dach and Dubois some double shifts at center, and have them all on the PP.
I want all our young wingers playing with better offensive C's than Dvorak, so it would be great to go Suzuki-Dach-Dubois down the middle. If he were to stay, I even think Dvorak could he a better offensive and defensive winger than guys like Gurianov amd maybe even Josh Anderson.
What do you (and others) think a development year is?And next year will be a development year
Fixed - the brut “power” aspect dimension of PLDs game makes him valuable to Habs. As a C that power game complements Suzuki’s.People should expect what he's been so far: a 60-65 pts 200-feet “power” forward.
I'm not sure why anyone would expect more...
I agree. The upside is the bonus, though, because assuming he can't improve makes no sense for a 24-yr-old who hasn't stagnated or regressed yet.People should expect what he's been so far: a 60-65 pts 200-feet forward.

Drouin is Drouin. Dach is Dach. Dubois is Dubois. Robertson said Dubois was consistent before the injury. That he shows more sometimes doesn't mean he's going to achieve constancy one day. That's the trap people fell in when they expected Drouin to be star.
Also, Dubois won't have a Kyle Connor to play with on the Habs...
