I come in peace, with an analysis i posted in the Bruins topic:

Offense: TOR > BOS: Toronto has a sorta deep lineup (Kessel, Lupul, Kadri) and guys like MacArthur, Grabovski and such while ours is deeper it isn't even assured it's all gonna show up to play so Toronto has the advantage imo

Defense: BOS > TOR: Toronto's defense kind of hurts from playing Phaneuf so much every night, not enough guys to pick up the slack.

Goaltending: BOS > TOR: Reimer is solid but isn't Rask, both have the potential to steal games, Rask has gotten used to it over the last 6 weeks or so

Special Teams: Even (Boston has the awesome penalty kill to match Toronto's power play while Toronto has a serviceable enough PK to match our PP...not that is a huge deal)

Coaching: TOR > BOS: some might disagree with this, simply put Carlye has made quite the penchant for upsets in the playoffs (See: San Jose in 2009 and their run to the conference final in 06) his style is made for playoff hockey, the name of the game is hitting the opponent and planting that seed of doubt. Claude's style works well too but the problem is he needs all of his troops to be chipping in to make it work, which obviously isn't the case. (This would be also different if this team played with any semblance of the big bad B's but we haven't seen it in a long time, who's to say it's gonna show up now? They are the bullied now, not the bullies)

I recently posted Boston would win this but the more i look at it i have a feeling Toronto is gonna pull out a somewhat surprising series win..just a bad feeling.

Leafs in 6 or 7 and may god help me (When your best friend is a Leafs fan who's been waiting for a chance to talk smack, you know the day will come but you're truly never ready for it >_>)

Fair, iyo?

I like how both fanbases are coming up with reasons why the opponent is gonna kick our ass yet we can't seem to find reasons of why our boys will win >_>

The only part that read uninformed is in bold. Toronto's PK is second in the league and better than Boston's.

If there is anything I could ask from my fellow Leafs fans who will be attending the game is to, please, get on Tuukka Rask. Start a Tuuuuuuuuuuuuukkaaaaaaaaa chant or something. We all know the guy is a bit of a basket-case and we, the fans, need to do our part to throw this guy off his game mentally. If that happens Boston will be toast.

Yeah if you guys chant Tuukka then he will go insane and Toronto will win..

I've watched every Bruins game this year and for about 5 weeks now apparently it's impossible for them to score a REAL goal. IE a goal off a nice setup other then a lucky shot from the point or a weird deflection. It's been so boring to watch. Ugh.

Ah gotcha. The Leafs try to keep everything to the outside so I'm sure you guys will key on driving to the net hard.. This will be some great hockey. I'm glad the Leafs are in, but I'm even happier with the match ups we could be seeing. If Washington loses to the Rangers in the 1st round and the Habs win, and Penguins win. We could potentially see Bruins / Leafs vs. Habs.

Pretty awesome that 4 Northeast teams are in the playoffs all at once.

So i always heard about Leaf's ticket's being outrageous expensive.

How is it for the playoffs???

For Bruins its like 120 ish(with services charges) for highest seat's in the house.

Here's to a fun series!

Bruins fans tell us about Bergeron. How has he been since coming back from the concussion?

Been a bit cold offensively since returning (like the rest of the team isn't) but his defensive game is still the same.

Might help to have Jagr back in the lineup to get him going again

You're lucky if you can get a ticket for 250.

I like that our fan base has enough poise to atleast talk about the series.. For now

And only 1 southeast team, and therefore they got the easiest 3rd spot ever.:arr:

It’s been so for years, but that didn’t stop a great civic grumbling when the cost of Maple Leafs’ playoff tickets was announced this week.
Tickets in the lower bowl jumped to the $315-$800 range from $180-$450. That’s north of a 70 per cent hike. The worst seat in the house will cost you about $80 in the post-season.

Fun times.

I wanted the Habs purely for the ****storm it would have created but I love that we got the Bruins. To be the man you have to beat the man, slay the dragon and such.

I can't believe how pathetic this thread is..."fans" giving up like the series is over already. All those years we beat Ottawa, they destroyed us in the regular season...wasn't even close. I know the Bruins won't lay down like the Sens did but anything can happen in the playoffs and it's not like they ran us out of the rink this year...all the games were competitive. /rant

Thats kind of the jist of it. His head will inflate like a balloon, then pop.

No, if we're on the PP and sustaining any sort of zone time, chanting Tuuuuuuuukkkkaaaaa may throw his concentration off. Goalies can't take mental breaks, they need to be focused the entire game.

Isn't Boston first on the PK?

PK has been shaky since Bergeron and Marchand's concussions. We've had a stellar PK for a couple of seasons and its usually not one of our concerns.. but as of right now, it is. :help:

He also wins a TON of faceoffs, exactly what you need in a playoff series and with Bozak having issues with his upper body, its not a good sign for our best faceoff guy.

Very true, just look at Jay Beagle vs. Boston in the 1st round of last year's playoffs. He was superb on the faceoff dot, which had a huge impact on the series.

If you guys beat us on the dot and score on the man advantage, you have the upperhand for sure.
