It is. Big improvement from you guys since last year. I remember watching and the Bruins would just skate right through your whole defense. Much tighter this year for sure.

Oh definitely, our PK sucked for the last 5 years or so, what a difference a new coach can do and also McClement

The Bruins embarrassed the Leafs last year on the ice at every turn, but not this year.

Now its a different ball game and the battle will be far more even.

Kessel trolling the media.

Waiting for him for quite some time now.

I wanted the Habs purely for the ****storm it would have created

I wanted the Habs too, especially since I am arguing with a friend on another forum who is a Montreal fan and who has complained about playing Ottawa instead of Toronto because Montreal would 'easily' win a series against Toronto. He seems to be basing a lot of his argument on the final game of the season and dismisses the Leafs' win in the game before that by claiming that they were thoroughly out played and thus got lucky. He doesn't seem able to accept that the only result that matters is the one on the scoreboard. Oh well, hopefully the Leafs will get the Habs later in the playoffs.

Sounds like he's ducked them completely. I hope it's just trolling them, but on the other hand not a great sign as to his confidence going into this series.

True enough by this point he'd probably not be eager to face the expected questions going into this series. But it's the playoffs in Toronto, good luck avoiding the media in that case.

I don't blame him. He's going to hear the same questions non-stop and it's irritating. He doesn't care who he plays he just wants to WIN.

Yeah, in the end it'll be the same questions as always. All the more reason for him to come out on fire when this series really starts so he might be able to shut down the major questions entirely.

He's not trolling, Kessel is just plain scared to talk to the media that's all. I don't think he's talked to them more than 5 times all year.

He's not scared.

He's not that kind of guy. He just wants to play hockey, to win. Not hear the same questions every other day. It's irritating.

Wouldn't that be something? People wouldn't leave him alone to begin with.. If he lights up this series, he'll never hear the end of it

Joe Haggerty. This guy has a job?

"This season they finished 17th in the NHL while allowing 2.7 goals per game and made some slight improvements.

But the playoffs tend to magnify teams' weaknesses when the pressure and high intensity is upon them. So a Leafs defensemen corps led by Dion Phaneuf and a very average goaltending tandem of James Reimer and Ben Scrivens might be exactly what Seguin and Co. need to get them going offensively. On the flip side, the Bruins offensive players could go into a deep freeze as they did against Washington and be in for a really short ride after limping to a 2-7-2 finish over the final nine games of the regular season."

Nonis sounds angry Kessel didn't show up.

James Mirtle ‏@mirtle 1m
Nonis says he'll deal with Kessel no show. "Players will be available on a going forward basis."

David Alter ‏@DavidAlter590 1m
Nonis on Kessel declining to speak: first I've heard of it. Our players will be made available

Nonis succumbing to media, says matter to be dealt internally.

Dear Nonis,
I am pretty sure NHL contract doesn't include forcing players to give media interviews. So stop asking your players to do the same when they don't want to.

Kessel: "Hey, Seguin, why don't you kiss wonderful skates of JVR?"
Seguin: M-m-mhmphaaaa....

These are the times you want Burke. He'd show middle finger to media and will have it his way.
