Had to listen to her a bit yesterday. Some of the comments she was making were pretty dumb. Don’t think she’s very good at all.

She is not a broadcaster. She never played, coached, managed, or even reffed in the NHL.

Hard to be good at job without adequately qualifying.

Campbell is actually not too bad to listen to, in a car crash sort of way. I also liked Glenn Healy for the same reason.
 
She is terrible with so much incorrect and nonsensical analysis of the game.

I don't like her at all.

And yet, I would trade Kevin Sawyer (From the Jets broadcast team) for her in an instant!
 
Talking heads have destroyed sports, no need for 2 in the booth and 1 or 2 at ice level.

and now in 2021 with no crowds it's even worse, they turn the sound of the commentators way up, + ad fake crowd noise and completely turn down the volume from the rink, guess they are oh so scared that a player might swear and the microphones will pick that up, oh the horror!

yes it's better to have people listen to 2 loudmouths and fake crowd noise.:ha:

sooo booring, and this goes for NBA basketball as well, anyone else also noticed the decline of audio from rinks/courts?

I watched a game last week, where one of the announcers kept referring to Tyler Toffoli as Michael Ryder.

Cassie's pretty bland IMO. I usually don't notice her. I'd put her middle of pack or slightly below.
 
Yeah, I was listening last night and thought she was fine relative to the norm. Of course I tend to tune all of the color commentators out as they don't usually add much for me. I wish they'd realize that it's ok if there isn't someone yammering at us 100% of the time.
 
I think the most asinine comment from last night's broadcast was by Kevin Bieksa, when said "the bigger ship has the right of way", implying that McDavid should get calls just for being McDavid.
