Is Mitch Marner the 2nd best RW in the game, right behind Kucherov?

Skillwise, hes at the lower end In the top 5-7 RWs. If you add his paycheck, he’s barely top 10.

Edit: forgot to add “….but if you count the playoffs (which everyone should) he barely cracks the top 20-25”
Your take is hilarious, barely top ten lol.

Marner has scored more than 67 points in a season twice and 5X5 in playoffs turns into a perimeter player

But I’m reading he’s the second coming of Rick Middleton
It is actually 3 times! Also 2 Covid seasons exactly at 67 points which I am sure you knew:sarcasm:

What are the three years ?

I see 2018-19 & 2020-21

It’s actually 4 though if you count last two years with knights

The covid year I know Bruins were at 72 games I’m assuming Leafs similar - getting 28 points last 10 games is possible but unlikely

Marner to me is Kane like regular season but when the game gets faster and heavier in playoffs he moves away from net

In fairness to Marner he really doesn’t have a lot of playoff experience but that’s part of his own doing

He’s still a significant building block and gets you to the playoffs

Leafs as long as they have him and Matthews are a threat but I’m skeptical Matthews stays and will believe it when I see it

2017-2018, 2018-19 and 2021-2022 all seasons over 67 points. The Leafs played 56 games in 2020-21 and he scored...67 points a 99 point pace. Also 67 in 59 in 19-20. He has been one of the most consistent offensive producers in the league for the past 5 years getting(or pacing) 90+ points.

I’ll take any of top 5 right now

No order
Pasta
Rant
Kaprizov
Marner
Kucherov

Am I missing anyone ?

A college assignment to write a paper on any one could be made

Subjective

Uh, your own attachment shows THREE years with more than 67 points. Can you not see it? And the other two years were shortened seasons with 67pts. Only Marner's rookie season was less.
I only see two years in 90’s and none in 70’s or 80’s …..the covid year ending mid March with leafs at over 70 games and he’s got 16 goals and 67 points …..somehow his stats a being prorated 😂

But it’s your mind and and your world and if you want to think he’s the best I don’t blame you

If I lived in Toronto and had season tickets for 39 years I probably would have him up there

As is he’s top 5 with me

Reading can be hard when you're blinded by an agenda
So how many seasons did Marner get 70 or above

No prorating

You specifically said, "2 seasons with more than 67 points". This is the most blatant example of goalpost moving I've ever seen.

Well yeah, he's paid like an elite super star, and I have not seen that. He's great at spinning around, passing and play D, but he disappears when it matters and is a tiny little thing. With his pay, I expect more.
If a consistent 90 + point excellent defensively RW isn't enough for you, the problem isn't with the player it's with your absurd expectations.

1. How many seasons did he have over 67 points

2. What was number of points and season

Take the L

Leafs fan

Marner WOULD HAVE had 95 points except he missed 11 games with an injury and covid wiped out the last 12 games

His 16 goals in 59 games would have been 35 😂

Well since Marner has just as many Stanley Cups as Pastrnak.....I'd say maybe they both need to work harder to get over that hump. :)
This isn’t about pasta and most Bruins fans with a clue are pissed he got hurt off ice screwing around and broke his hand - and result was a substandard playoffs that killed them against Blues

Pastrnak I believe leads lesgue in turnovers this year - he’s super skilled and a game breaker but I think we know what he is

To old time baseball fans he reminds me of Reggie Jackson - flawed but overall a star

Year to year though, Marner still puts up more points than Pasta. Pasta also benefits by playing with better linemates where Marner has a pylon on his other wing. Playing with Bergeron AND Marchand is far more beneficial than playing with Matthews and a pylon.
He hasn’t played with Bergeron and Marchand going on 2 seasons

This is wild, how are you this dilusional?

From the image YOU posted.

1. 3 seasons over 67 points.
2. 17/18 - 69 points, 18/19 - 94 points, 21/22 - 97 points.

"Take the L". Lol
My mistake I typed 67 instead of 69

I apologize- happens

I agree that typo qualifies for delusional

Pastrnak hasn't been on a line with Bergeron and Marchand in almost a year. Since January 2022, he's been skating on the 2nd line with Haula/Krejci as his center.
