Is Kirby Dach ready to be the #1 centre next season?

Keeping him on this empty husk of a team is doing more harm than good. Send him down let him re discover his game. He has proven f*** all and is already taking shifts off like hes a star player. Swallow the pride and just send him down now before he completely goes full Nylander

When you mention the Country Club thing, who are you criticizing for it? Isn’t everyone gone beside Toews and Kane?
It begins at the top....but I'd say Stan was the main perpetrator by coddling his players, particularly the guys who were here in the 2010-2015 run. He started it and based on the play we see on the ice, it doesn't seem to be going away. On the ice, Kane is the country club leader. Q and JC let him get away with his lazy play, and now King is doing the same.

I doubt that Kings comment is about gift regular in NHL, because they could fix that in seconds.

Better person is troubling because he might be idiot but press has not found out some s**t he has done.

Only kid gloves still for strome and Mitchell right
Strome is a ppg in the last 10 games, and taking over 1C duties.

Ian Mitchell is also a ppg in his last 10 games in Rockford, playing top pairing.

I know you're trolling, but give credit where credit is due. Both of them have been grinding hard and putting the effort it.

The "If he decides to continue to be..." relaxes that quote a bit. Otherwise that'd be pretty bad to hear a coach say our hopeful next franchise 1C needs to basically not be a lazy, bad, person. Yikes

if he decides to continue also implies he mightve had character concerns in past? good ppl dont "decide to continue" to be good ppl for the sake of having a good career, they were always good ppl and it was never a question of deciding to be that way...maybe king and org just feel his ego and production are not aligned with reality and he hasnt progressed enough the last two years and needs to commit more to the work

I don't see that effort from Strome to improve his entire game. We still see him lose most puck battles - his skating and his play without the puck is simply not at the NHL level.

Strome is never going to be a complete player. But his compete level and effort on the defensive side of the game has improved a lot in recent weeks.

And his skating is always going to be a deficiency.

We could see him work his way back to a 2C or 3C on a competitive team. Would be a good story for all involved.
