To be honest would love to get Hellebyuck but that would mean Winnipeg would be going to rebuild I would think and I don't know if they would just yet.... Hopes an dreams through that Dubas has an ace up his sleve for this !!!!

I simply think there are more goalies available than most are saying and Dubas’ comments last night support that claim.
I am not sure the starter on day 1 is going to be one of the names being thrown around.

Wonder if Dubas should've gave mrazek another chance, his contract at least was a bargain if he found his form. We might have to pay the same for an equally questionable goalie.

I dont think he's going to pay the premium for Campbell/Kuemper and if those two sign before he lands someone else the cost to make a trade is going to sky rocket.
No YOU don't know what that is but that term has been around for years he didn't invent it.
Kovalchuk to NJ is a great example look at that deal Atlanta got nothing.
Marc Savard to Atlanta is an even better example.

Unfortunately teams know Kyle is desperate for a goalie at the moment. Hopefully they don't bend him over too bad in a trade if it comes to that. We are overpaying regardless for a goalie whether be trade or free agent signing. I hope people are ready for it. Brace yourselves

Free agency hasn’t even started though… can’t say there’s been a trade that made me wish the Leafs were in on.. can’t do much about MAF re-signing. I imagine he was their top hope.

The FA pool is shrinking and someone is going to end up without a proven goalie. They shouldn’t be in this position at all.

The good thing about Matt Murray is that it should be the end of Dubas. Especially when Campbell posts a 0.920 this year with his new team.

If we take question mark Murray over Campbell, the devil you know, ill be surprised and it’s a real risky proposition. We can afford Jack now, we aren’t breaking the bank on the position with the cheap backup, so slightly overplaying Jack vs taking a flyer on someone to refine their form, seems a no brainer to me. Dubas’ job is on the line with this decision, play it safe, Jack has issues but the alternatives look equally or worse suspect.

If the Oil go all in on Soup, how high are you willing to go ?? This could be Hyman take 2. I'd go Blackwood and spend the extra money up front.

5.5? I mean he likes it here, he can make extra advertising being a Leaf? I like Blackwood too, but as your number 1 is a real risk. Gibson is the best alternative for me, but his salary and availability?

Last season was a huge red flag as far as Campbell is concerned. He has no business being rated as a top UFA goalie, as his resume does not support it whatsoever.
I was hesitant to bring him back at a discount, but to get into a bidding war with Edmonton over his services would be insane.
He was statistically among the worst goaltenders in the NHL for several months last season, remember that.
