Even now I'm frustrated with now much Lafreniere is playing.

The kid line was one of our most effective and were still firmly the third line. Laf was effective at RW and Copp can play center, so we have no shortage of options.

At this point we're watching Lafreniere play less so we can watch Strome jerk off more.

Vatrano was a complete liability on the top line tongiht. They should be going back to Kreider-Mika-Lafreniere. And it obviously wont happen at this point in the season, but I'd like to see Panarin-Copp-Motte. Force Pnarin to play a more straight ahead game, rather than playing grab ass with Strome

Trading Panarin or Kreider is not happening, nor should it, its dumb to even bring up the possibility. Panarin has produced well on the PP, but at 5v5 he's getting no time and space because Copp is playing injured and other teams just leave Strome wide open because he cant finish a chance if his life depended on it.

Im not gonna defend him too hard because hes made plenty of boneheaded decisions that have nothing to do with his linemates or him playing hurt, but the solution to our offensive issues isnt to get rid of Panarin.

Agreed on Kreider and probably right on Panarin. I don't see Pan as the type of player the rest of the team is being molded into. He's the odd man out and a lot of salary cap so it wouldn't shock me. But he's a huge talent so I don't know.

I've certainly liked him and I think he was a solid pickup for our third line (or at least I hoped) but he quietly became an AV-level toy for Gallant.

Kreider-Zibanejad-Vatrano had like two good games when Zibanejad was white hot and Kreider was in the middle of a 50 goal season and somehow it's still a thing after nearly two months of being the shits.

Panarin gets another playoff shot before I start hating his cap hit. He is 10 times worse in the playoffs than Marner last year who was very very bad.

They need a grinder on that line who can win puck battles and create space in the middle of the ice by crashing the net and taking defenseman with him. Unfortunately there's really no one who can fill that role. Otherwise it's a pure rush line and the Rangers can not do anything off the rush against this team except the occasional push the puck past a pinching D and it turns into a 2 or 3 on 1.

Ive liked Frankie V but he's a JAG and it will be easy to let him walk this summer. Othmann is going to be here sooner than later and gives us a similar skillset with better size and much more potential.

Panarin was an even strength juggernaut when he had Fast on his line in 2019, hence why I would like to see Motte re-signed. He has missed that forechecking "do the little things" component post-covid
