I hate talking 2 games ahead, but I think Gallant stays with the same lineup because it wins at home but he does something different in Carolina if there's a Game 7. Don't know if Blais and/or Goodrow can get back by then but maybe Brodz and Hunt.
If this gets to Monday we may see a shock Blais return. May.....

Goodrow is done until late conference finals at least. He broke his ankle.

It’s a shame you’re not “cuckoo” for any other players. We could have met in so many other threads and you could say something other than “my kids are starssss” for a change.
And here in lies the problem. You can't say you don't know who I am when you are obsessed with me. You are a weird dude. See you Saturday. I'll be the one rooting for the kids to succeed. Sorry if that offends you. Bye.

I just don't buy the "he's hurt" thing. Everyone to a man is playing with some type of discomfort. It's called playoff hockey. Fox is not a fast player, never has been. He got beat standing still, and to me, it was as simple as that. He was not going to catch Svechnikov on that breakaway. Panarin might be hurt, but it doesn't excuse his braindead puck management.

This team needs to become more of a team that plays along the walls and between the circles in the offensive zone. I actually thought they did a decent job all series playing along the walls at least in the neutral zone. But once again, when you trail, you have to open it up and at the same time Carolina went to their defensive shell.
For me it wasn't is Fox fast. I saw plenty of situations he wasn't moving at all. That isn't like him.

Can’t wait. I’ll be here, where I’ve been a daily member of our community for years. You know, getting together with other fans, buying people jerseys, sending out Rangers playoff merch to people, being an actually relevant poster. Cheers!!!

I mean, I’m not the one who said “I don’t even know who you are” and then got offended when someone made a Thanos joke. That shit writes itself.

I think the problem with Hunt and Goodrow is that they are LH as crazy as it sounds, well the other problem with Hunt is he's not skilled enough. But I think with the way Panarin plays you need a RH shot at RW who can make those hard rims on the boards to him where he usually stands on the left wall. He needs someone to get those pucks and get them to him. you're right about Strome though, his time here has run it's course.
True but neither Kakko nor Laffy are R shots so that's the 2nd line spot out, leaving one of the kids on the 3rd line where neither should play next year.

Weird to see Gallant say the team is tired. Why would they be tired? This wasn't a back to back. Did they have some travel issues? Game 4 they dominated and it didn't even seem particularly taxing. We weren't tired in game 2 against Pitt after playing 3 OTs but they're tired for this game? What's that about?

That is true, and it's not like Panarin can't make it work with a LH RW, he did it with Kane obviously but optimally you would have someone like a Fast on his RW.

Yeah, I have to agree. He's not really his juking self, toying with people coming out of the zone and at the offensive blue line. Definitely playing hurt somewhere.

They blew it by playing up to the Canes tempo in the first period. Then they had nothing in the tank against the team with the superior conditioning. Galaxy brain stuff from GG.

Their conditioning this playoff has been suspect. The eyes aren't lying and neither is gallant. I think we just maybe have bad luck with low energy dudes?

Vegan diets aren’t all they’re cracked up to be. And despite what Ry-bro Strome says, Natty Light isn’t “way better for you”.

If this gets to 7, Igor is going to will this team to be at least competitive. He'll shut the door when it matters. How insane is it that he's above a .920 save percentage after the series he had against Pittsburgh? The team in front of him has let him down in Game 1, 2, and 5.

It won't matter if the team keeps playing in Carolina the way they have. They have had no answers there. I guess if you take Zib's goal today and keeping Carolina to 1 goal in game 2, you get OT? Best case scenario?

I saw it in the defensive zone. He was skating like a 50 year old in a beer league. I'd see the puck swing and he barely moved. Could have been sick. I have played after eating some bad stuff and it didn't go well.

Doesn't help that half the team is playing injured to some degree. I think that's where the bad conditioning/slow skating posts are coming from.

Copp is playing on one knee and he looks slow out there. How else is everyone else injured?

BTW, on the first Carolina goal. The way Trouba "protected" the puck reminded me how in football a player that carries a puck carelessly is said to carry it like a loaf of bread. He was so lackadaisical with puck like he wanted it to get stripped.

I think it comes down to having the right center, someone who makes his living below the hash marks and in the slot. Someone who draws defenders to him so that Panarin can stretch pass from the half wall for tip-ins or has room to shoot treys from downtown. The problem with Strome is he is focused on being within 10 feet of Panarin at all times trying to read off him and play catch with him in the corners, that there's rarely an opportunity from close-in that's generated.

I feel like everyone is playing hurt at this point though. It’s seemed to be an issue all year (for years, actually). How long has it gone on that the Rangers could play a good 20 and let off the gas or a good 40 and not close it out. How often have the Rangers turned in a complete 20 in the past ten years?

Some of this may be true. The kids have played a lot of hockey this year. 95 games and counting. It's a grind. Lindgren, Fox, Schneider, Miller, Laf, Kakko, Chytil, Shesty, have played a ton more games this year than they have played before, including some intense playoff games. I think they get a lift at home from the energy of the crowd and hopefully that continues in game 6.
