The word spring was never mentionned in the videoSomebody answer him! It's been bugging me since I first heard it. Lol
Wait for the road trips....I'm not saying Giroux is lying here but we'll never know. Basically no NHL veteran with any sense will ever publicly say bad things about their coach.
If these guys are really this committed to DJ Smith it's going to be rough for them. He will be fired in the not too distant future. If they don't want that to happen they better put up or shut up in the meantime. A 4-6 record with 6 of those games at home is unacceptable. Especially with no injuries to what should be a loaded top 6.
...or the taxi full of Sens coming back from late nite bar, captured on video truthWait for the road trips....
It is November 7 and the Ottawa Senators are in sole possession of last place in the Eastern conference.
and the players are bitching at the fans.
wild.
Bullshit.
The talent is there. The compete is there. They just don't know how to put it together.
Brady and Timmy if anything hurt there game by trying too hard and getting out of their game.
The core has all the things you need to succeed except good coaching and this organisation has failed them and fans in getting the right people to put it all together.
To me hiring Patrick Roy is an absolute no brainer. He is a Jack Adams coach who brings fire and identity. He is tough and disciplined but knows how to work with young guys. He has gravitas and is a winner.
Anyone who saw his summer interview can see that he has learned from past mistakes and wants to get back in the game badly. This is the kind of move that has the potencial to be franchise altering.
Also, he is Patrick f***ing Roy!
In recent years, Norman Flynn has made some rather surprising statements. We can remember when he declared on RDS that he would not hesitate to trade Nick Suzuki in order to acquire forward Wayne Simmonds.
The Patrick Roy in Kanata story was bullshit. He was in Quebec City yesterday.
The source of the story about Roy being in Kanata is this guy :

Right. DJ's "Stan Lee" cup collection.DJ will have 7 Stanley Cups soon…
I think at this point, the question is if, not when we should make the coaching change. It's an incredibly tricky situation without a GM in place.
Why wouldn't you count the Sweden trip as a break from distractions?Food for thought, we're 11th in the league in Goal differential at +3, only the Penguins and us have a positive goal differential with a sub 500 record.
I get we have some garbage time goals, but we aren't the only team in the league that gets those.
Don't think we'll be able to keep that positive differential unless we tighten up a bit defensively, I think the team needs a break from all the distractions, a road trip might do them some good, but alas, we don't really have one until mid Dec, unless you count the sweden trip.
Because I think it might be a bit of a distraction in and of itself, but maybe not, idk.Why wouldn't you count the Sweden trip as a break from distractions?
Again with the Swedish anthem singer?...Because I think it might be a bit of a distraction in and of itself, but maybe not, idk.
Tell me you weren't distracted....Again with the Swedish anthem singer?...
Our first Sweden trip cursed the team. This trip will reverse the curse.
Bring the Swedish singer back and reverse the curse!!!!!Our first Sweden trip cursed the team. This trip will reverse the curse.
And how many “quality Coaches” would accept an interim coaching job knowing that the new GM would more than likely not keep them on?I think it's best to just rip off the bandaid. Get a quality interim coach in there and if the new GM likes him he can make it permanent.
It's turning into the NHL version of a death cult with DJ here in Ottawa.
