Ceci played almost 25mins tonight, Barrie almost 20... Both were playing well below 20 when we were going 11-7..

Also, there has not been a single game played by VD where he was a minus player... So until he struggles he deserves the praise.

'spanked' by elite competition has yet to happen..

You would think he wouldnt be a plus player, playing the hardest minutes in the NHL if he was a bottom pairing D man.

Pretty sure they made the Conference Finals with him too. This team will be out in the first round as it stands right now.

It is the case and it is yikes. That’s why Holland needs to trade for a defenseman ASAP. And this latest dithering on Pulju resulting in no Desharnais is just compounding the issue.

The D didn't make the Conference Finals ... they got dragged there in a coma by McDavid, Draisaitl, Kane, and Hyman, the D did everything in their power to have the Oilers lose in round 1 or 2 and then completely destroyed any chance of even winning a single game against the Avs because they're too incompetent to hold even 1 of like 6 or 7 different leads they were given.

Another special addition by the D in the playoffs ... shitting the bed in every game 1 of every series so the forwards had to fight back down 0-1 every time. Wonderful stuff.

It’s more the pk where he’s missed the most. If we don’t get karlsson the pk needs to be the focus of the deadline.

I think it has to be and somehow, this pk needs to be fixed even if karlsson somehow lands here

Reminder: Holland willingly and knowingly entered this season with the cap structure the way it is and decided that he would run a short roster for all 82 games in the season. That alone is reason enough for firing, let alone the complete lack of improvement the roster has seen during his tenure. Besides the players he's bought, he hasn't made one trade to improve the team or bring in a top 4 d-man or top 6 winger. 4 f***ing years and he hasn't done this!!!!!

The Oilers team needs are still the exact same as when Holland was hired!

Without talent yeah he's toast. With this group? He'd help a lot IMO, he'd slap a lot of the stupid out of the d corps or they would fear coming to the rink and they would be prepared to play every game unlike Woodcroft's country club atmosphere approach.

This team looks like they don't practise ever or if they do all they practise is the PP.
