I would recommend Bello’s: Gastropub | Bello's Pub & Grill | Newark

It’s not too far from where Hell’s was located and it has a huge beer selection. The food is always really good too. It’ll get crowded closer to game time.

Mad for Chicken is a good option though if you decide to pregame closer to the arena (especially given the forecasted chill on Friday night). I actually went last week and took some photos:

I think I might hit up Bello's before the game tomorrow since I'm coming from out of town. I can't find their beer list online anywhere. I assume they have a good selection of local beer. I'm always open to trying new stuff I can't find in Ohio.

I have no doubt you’ll enjoy it! They have some good beers on tap (and some “regular beers”) but if you don’t mind bottled beer, that’s really the bulk of their 180+ that they advertise and you won’t find a bigger selection in Newark. I’m not the biggest beer connoisseur but my brother is and he always finds stuff there that’s new and interesting. If they have anything from KANE on tap (it’ll have a wooden tap handle with KANE burned onto it) I would recommend trying it. It’s a Jersey brewery and growing in popularity.

If you don’t mind, post back here about your overall game day experience and let us know what you thought. As someone who goes to games all the time it’s interesting to hear what other people think and experience.

If it's beer you're looking for Bello's is where it's at.

Their Tuscan pesto chicken sandwich with Cajun fries always hits the spot as well.

This is probably been covered before, but it stinks you cannot buy other events at the box office and they force you to go online and have to pay TM fees. Tried to buy tix for my family for Disney On ice, but we're told we couldn't unless it was day of event - which just stinks.

This must be a newish change because I definitely bought tickets at the box office day of the Devils games in the past. It's not like there's giant lines of people trying to buy tickets day of. Makes no sense.

I tried to go there before the game. Were they closed today? The don't seem to have much social media presence so I wasn't able to confirm. I thought they opened at 12:00 but I got there about around 12:30 and nobody was there.

New years day maybe? A friend of mine who owns a few places had bartenders showing up way too late today and many restaurants, bars, and liquor stores in my neighborhood were closed.

🤷

I've also never tried to go there that early.

I guess they don't want to keep the box office open on non game-days?

I meant I bought tickets for other non Devils games events in the past right before a Devils game, it's just weird they wouldn't sell those. It's not like the person sitting there has to do anything different. I believe the tickets still had fees though cause I remember being annoyed about it.

That's obscene.

Even tiny to mid-sized venues here - mostly Bowery Presents, not POS Live Nation - have box office hours numerous days per week where you can purchase tickets sans fees well in advance.

Ticketbastard really needs to be broken up. It's a grotesque monopoly if I've ever seen one.

Saw Hamlin's toy drive go fund me and it reminded me that the Devils didn't do the toys for tots drive or the food drive this year. They only did the coat drive which was donate money only.

I can understand not having it the previous two seasons with the mess of everything going on but there was no excuse for not having the 3 of them in person this season. I personally don't like donating money instead of the physical items because I have no idea where it actually goes.

Not saying any of this cause I want vouchers, I don't need any more Devils tickets. Just a missed opportunity to help out others cause they always did collect a ton of donations for all 3.

Would anyone happen to have a contact with a ticket rep or someone in the ADA services dept? Have an issue regarding my tickets for Saturday's game and the woman I typically deal with is out of the office until Thursday.

I will say after attending Sunday's game that NJ is building something really good. I attend Blue Jackets games regularly as a quarter season ticket holder and this team is a sh*t show right now.

It was refreshing to see a team like NJ play with some offensive firepower and excitement. I know defense is a bit of an issue right now as well as goaltending regressing but once the team gets the addressed things are going to be great in NJ again. I had a great time at the game even though it was a shootout loss.

In the Devs vs Rags game cheapest tix $200+

Is this reasonable or scalping?

On Ticketmaster I only see resale seats besides on the glass seats that have a face value of like $800.

$200+ to get in the door isn't surprising, both teams have good records and it's a Saturday afternoon.

Apparently we scalp our own tickets these days. $325.00 for a single month club seat in the lower bowl. It's a blue dot on your Ticketbastard seat map. Supply and demand...
