while granted i dont get to many other arenas the question is has it aged well? I went in preseason and noticed the team store by the book is closed and the same by the customer relation desk? what gives? also i always thought the prefab store on the main concourse looked stupid.

anyone been to another arena what would you want that they never added here?

Not sure which one the team store by the book is but I did notice the kids store near like 17/18 has been closed all season so far. I assume the ones upstairs are closed cause they never had any lines from what I saw so I guess they can justify that if you want something you'll get it on the main concourse or the team store by the lobby.

I think the arena has aged ok, the new videoboard definitely makes it look newer from inside the rink. I don't think it needs anything major major done.

The nicest thing about UBS is something the arena can't add without major reconstruction and that's the super wide entrance they have. Traffic just flows so much nicer trying to get in. Basically the entire main entrance is the entire side of the rink.

Bathrooms at prudential need a redo at this point. Just looking old, worn out and broken in a lot of them.

Seat wise I definitely think we'll see all the seats get replaced in the next few seasons. Lots of them have stains and are looking rough.

Food wise I still think prudential would be better off adopting fan friendly concession stand prices but I'm not holding my breath on that one. Ridiculous a bottle of water is almost $6 now.

I also wish they would get rid of all the sales people trying to get people to sign up for those vip tickets on the computers. It's obnoxious and just a way to get people's emails and phone numbers so they can spam them with emails and calls about tickets.

You don't get or retain customers by annoying the shit out of them. You get them with a good product that's actually enjoyable and an experience that's fun and affordable.

Not sure if anyone's noticed, but the face value for tickets to upcoming games are very reasonably priced. I'm talking Meadowlands era prices. There are still better deals to be had on the secondary market but I haven't seen box office prices this low in years.

they had a little walk in team store by where the sports book/bar area is now on the main concourse.

man i really wish they could do something about the entrances whoever thought that was a good idea woof.

I can't believe they are pricing the Restaurant tickets at under $100 face. That's a steal and there are plenty of tickets left for all the home games this week at that price point. It's nice to see they're trying to get fans in the building this week to try and boost the atmosphere. I don't see tomorrow or Thursday being anything special crowd numbers wise but I think Saturday has the potential to get close to a sell out.

My brother is coming to NYC for xmas. Tix for Devils - Bruins on 28 December are quite expensive compared to normal. I paid as follows in the past few weeks (similar sections all of them in 120-130):
- $30 to see the Caps (Monday)
- $20 for Jackets (Sunday, afternoon)
- $45 for Avs (Friday)
- $44 for Calgary (Monday)
- $40 for Ottawa (Thursday)

Now a ticket for the 28th December game vs the Bruins in the 120-130 sections is $97 and onwards.

I was just wondering if this is normal price increase for the Christmas time game (and the Bruins)? Or is there already a premium in the ticket price because the Devils are playing really well right now? Will the arena sell out on 28th of December? I know its popular to watch sports around xmas and like was it 26th is an NBA day.

We are 3 people going so getting the tix for $60-70 a pop vs $100 each does make a difference.

i can see this game being more that usual due to the date. i also feel like the devils are jacking up secondary market prices (they have to be selling tickets through them) at this time. some of the prices i've seen for a bunch of games is insane.

Sans rags games and meaningful late season ones, tickets around the holidays are always the most expensive. Add in a popular regional opponent who is also crushing it and this is what you get unfortunately.

I'm sure they'll drop near or on the date though.

Right, i guess ill just get the tix for $97 each and be happy with it. Dont wanna risk a sell-out arena to save a little, its the only home game during my brother's stay. And we get 3 tix for the price of one if we compare to Rangers' tickets at MSG.

I only buy tickets from the secondary market and can confirm that half of the tickets i buy are directly sent to me by NJ Devils.

EDIT:

Bought the tickets on secondary market. They were not delivered to me instantly as has been the case with all other Devils' games ive been to this year.

I guess i bought them off a scalper who is waiting closer to the event to buy the actual tickets for cheaper and then deliver those to me

Guess I gotta be ready for all kinds of surprises down the road. Will be the last time im buying anything over 2 weeks in advance..

Anyone have experience with the storage lockers at the entrance? I’ll be coming from the city in a few weeks with a backpack and laptop before the game.

I’ve never used them but I’ve never noticed anyone seeming like they couldn’t find one.

This red hot team may be rewarded with a sellout or at least near sellout tonight. After the 0-2 start and things looking pretty gloomy in my mind I thought that would be the last non Rags sellout. Glad I was wrong! Actually bought seats at regular price for tonight vs Arizona. I like the location my former full season seats and no super discounts to be found at least on TM. I never ventured over to Vivid,Seat Geek etc. and haven't used Stub Hub in years. TM convenient enough. Usually pay less on secondary market. Fees included before you click on checkout.

Tickets are starting at $42 in the 200's on the secondary. Against the Coyotes, in mid-November.

If it's not a sellout it'll be pretty close.

Proof positive that if you put a winning product on the ice and we will spend the time and money, $12 beers be damned.
