Noticed they are building 4 different things in the black club seats in sections 7/9/18/20. No clue what they are though, maybe some sorta suite type deal inside the clubs? Didn't really look like anything yet.
So no more sro in the clubs? That kinda blows.

I'd say I get it, but when you can't sell the already existing suites what's the point?

The suites and premium areas sell a lot better than you think. Damn near every suite has a company name outside its door. I know this is anecdotal of course, but just last night I sat in the Lofts and explored a little bit (I normally sit in general seating) and was surprised to see even all of those have corporate partners on plaques outside each one.

If a suite is empty on a game night, chances are it still has a corporate owner. Some of the corporate owners are entitled to their suites for *every* single Prudential Center event and not just the Devils, so if I picked any random suite in the building, it would be reasonable to assume that an empty suite "sold" for a Devils game would/could have people in it at a concert.

"EmPtY sEaTs" is so 2010.

I know nothing of the lofts other that they're pretty, well, sweet.

I'd call this anecdotal but it simply isn't given the 100+ games I've been to.

Some of those boxes directly above the lower level may have owners, but it's rare, and I mean very rare to see them full or with any people in them at all.

I exclusively sit in 3 areas: sections 21-2, the clubs, and the boxes. I've hopped over the walls just to sit alone because I could.

I also agree the empty seats thing was kind of bullshit, but not when it comes to those specific seats.

I mean, I sit all over, and very rarely in premium areas. I just figure there's a lot of stuff in the suites where like, you see the company name literally on the wall but it'll be empty for half the games. :dunno:

funny enough you mention the suites i actually sat in one last night definitely isn't worth it. the seats were all torn up funny enough its probably the one suite that is always listed on stubhub so i'm sure its used more then the rest. the inside of the suite definitely needed some updates felt it was dark and just bleh. also the entire level is just an empty ring no food or drink is a real bummer. i'm sure you could do waiter service during the season but just an observation.

lofts are 100% the way to go the view is solid the seats are good and the food perks are better then the lounges which get way too crowded.

The entire arena needs a renovation soon. It’s a wonderful venue with first class sightlines for not just hockey but *everything* (I have Seton Hall season tickets and go to pro wrestling) but it ain’t immune to age. The whole damn bowl needs new seats *badly.* The Rock is pushing 20, after all.

Time flies.

Now, the new sound system, however: 11/10. That had to be a pretty penny. Harris gives a shit.

I don't remember what year they put in new seats at the Meadowlands, I think it was sometime in the 90s but can't find anything that confirms what year it exactly was.

Prudential has been open 15 years but yeah the main two things that they should focus on is replacing the seats. I've sat all over the place and the seats everywhere have stains at this point and the bathrooms need a renovation, they are really showing their age lately.

If we wanna compare to Philly down the road they didn't do a major renovation until their arena was like 23 years old so I don't think we'll see anything major change until the arena gets closer to 20 but an arena finished in 2007 holds up a lot better to me than an arena from 1996 to 2019 like Philly.

They have a lot of space to work with but I'm not exactly sure what they would do exactly at this point as I haven't been to many new NHL arenas lately since unless it's for a different event I just don't go to road games anymore. I went to UBS for AEW but honestly didn't walk around.

The new areas they're working on at the top of the lower level are called studio suites and they're gonna be in all those standing room areas at the top of the lower level. You can see them on the seating diagrams on ticketmaster now.

I saw those seats they look totally exposed and kinda the m&m seat upgrade they give out in the game. What’s the point of them ? Your already in an exclusive Club section.

The seat have definitely become ratty.

Unfortunately I've come to accept the fact that the corridors will be painted the brightest white that can be found on this planet in to perpetuity.

As far as concerts go I don't love arena shows, but the rock is multitudes better than the toilet. But if I'm being honest Barclay's a superior experience. A solid venue for a show is probably what you're going to end up with when Jay-Z and his people involved.

Went to Burke's - the restaurant that replaced Hells Kitchen - last night and I must say I was pretty impressed.

They did a great job with the interior and exterior, sleek modern bistro is how I'd describe it. Solid cocktails, good wine list, and 20 or so craft taps.

The menu is new American/northern Italian and everything we had was good to great. Very fair prices as well.

I inquired about what they're going to do on game nights and the owner told me the kitchen will be open until at least 10 every night but the wood fired pizza is served until they run out (later). Which is a good sign in my view.

Is this a place you want to rage at after the game looking for shot and beer specials? Nope. But if you're looking for a nice meal with a comprehensive booze list this is your spot. I'd be happy to pick at apps and slices after the game with a few cocktails here or if I got there in time have mains before the game.

Lovely ownership too.

Anyone ever buy suite tickets from StubHub? How does that work…I assume you share the suite with strangers/season ticket holders? Seems kinda awkward.

Does it say standing room only? Because if it has a row/seat number listed it's really no different than sitting in seats anywhere else cause you can just sit in your assigned seats. You don't have to talk to anyone. If it's standing room only there is like an eating bar with taller chairs right behind the assigned seats and you can just sit there. Unless you get super lucky I'm sure all the suites on stubhub don't include food.

Thanks for the info. Something about sitting in an enclosed space with strangers feels different than the usual arena seats…but that’s just probably my anti-social personality speaking. Lol.

Some of them have rows listed as “ST”…I assume that’s Season Ticketholder?

If you're in a seat it's not as enclosed, I've sat in them before and the seats are like the black section seats so actually have a little more room in them than the regular seats.

I'd assume ST is standing but not 100% sure on it.

I just stayed in a suite the last location to check off my seat list. its not worth it and it doesn't come with anything. having a bathroom on a separate level is nice but otherwise you have to go down two levels to get food or one level drink at the goal bar. better to sit elsewhere imo.

anyone ever notice the goal bar is always dead? i remember when that section had regular seating in there and still it always seemed dead. i dont hit many arenas up so not sure if bars in hockey rinks are generally dead or not. I'm not sure most fans even know you can get up to it and use it since they have to put a sign out that you can in fact use it without seats up there.

Yeah I would have guessed that too…but there are other tickets labeled as SRO which is definitely standing room only.

I've sat in them the past few opening nights and purchased off of stubhub.

Personally I enjoy them because the seats are larger and more spread out, never really felt claustrophobic to me, and quite the opposite actually. Because if you get in a bad row in most of the of the arena it can be an annoyingly tight squeeze. That and they only have real walls for privacy going about halfway through. If you're in a seat you can still see all the neighboring suites.

SRO means you'll be at a bar with a few stools behind the seats. ST means seat and they're pretty much first come first serve, but you are guaranteed one.

The having to down a level for concessions doesn't bother me either as you have to walk up and down stairs in most seats anyway and at least these ones aren't crowded. If you're going with a few people you also could just order to the box.

The private bathrooms are a nice touch as well.

Just my opinions.

Obviously ymmv, I've only been in the suites when I redeem points through the Devils for other events at the arena but I've never had it be a first come first serve situation, I've only had people just sit in their seat that's on their ticket and I've always just sat in whatever the ticket says

I recall it being much busier back in the day. I think it has to with the location a bit, but mostly because there are full service bars all over the arena now.

Interesting.

Maybe it's just some suites as I have only sat in the same one that always seems to have single tickets available.

Random question, if you have garage parking are you able to walk through to Edison Place behind the arena from the garage?

Here is all the info you need for suites.

Row A - first row in suite, reserved seat.
Row B - second row in suite, reserved seat.
Row C - third row in suite, reserved seat.
Row ST - fourth row in suite, it’s barstool seating with a tabletop in front of you, reserved seat.

SRO - you have access to the suite but be respectful to others as you don’t have seat privileges. I don’t recommend these if you have any interest in watching the game.

GA - first come first served when the ticket lists the row “general admission” you are allowed to sit in the seats.

The Devils list suites through their secondary partner both as reserved and general admission.

Random question, if you have garage parking are you able to walk through to Edison Place behind the arena from the garage?

You have to walk around onto Broad or Mulberry if you want to get to Edison. You can’t cut through where the players park/where the visiting team gets dropped off.
