I give you STHs credit. This can't be easy to put up with.

I've always wanted to commit to doing it in some capacity but with a 9 month old at home and not knowing set plans, I'm better off just scouring the secondary market when I feel I can make it out to a game.

There’s zero chance they can justify announcing a price increase when I couldn’t even sell a pair for the last two games at their minimum list price, and the StubHub list prices were like $5

I agree but how can they not increase it at least a little when one of their perks to signing up for 2 years was a price freeze? I can easily see people being angry if that isn't the case.

I'm glad I got out right as the pandemic started. When they dump tix on secondary markets for $5, sth have no chance at any actual value.

I just don't see why people would be angry if there is no price increase for those who didn't lock in for the price freeze. I locked into the price freeze and I certainly don't want to see season ticket prices go up for anyone cause that just means they will go up for me eventually too.

The price freeze was mainly a benefit for those of us who are renewing no matter what anyway and would have avoided an increase if the team went on a playoff run(lol)

Personally I think the price freeze should just be extended anyway considering covid really messed with a lot of things in terms of people attending games who normally would plus the team missed the playoffs both years anyway. Season tickets are a hard sell as it is, increasing prices for a team with no signs of turning the franchise around is an even harder sell.

They usually find a subtle way to increase prices. So for example, they’ll increase prices but then introduce an offsetting benefit like buybacks or F&B cards. But then in subsequent years, there is “no price increase!”, but they reduce the number of buybacks (then later turn them into swaps) and they eliminate F&B cards.

Back-to-back seasons I got $500 F&B cards when they use to have the frozen over campaign....I even got $1000 one season. Really miss those perks at that value and not to mention my season ticket was $14-$16 less per ticket per game :(

The renewal perks/rewards used to be crazy back in the Vanderbeek days. One year I won a free extra pair of season tickets, and another year I won 10 Platinum Lounge seats to a game. I think they even did crazy things like helicopter ride to a Ranger away game. But I don't blame current leadership for scaling that back a lot. I'm sure all the luxurious giveaways did not help with the profitability struggle back then.

I get the team was better during his ownership era but the team today has less season ticket holders than it did ten years ago. The current sth are the ones who are responsible for picking up the revenue lost from customers who have left.

I've had my season tickets rolled over both seasons since covid started. I know several others who sit around me who did the same. I will give the front office credit here for working with season ticket holders who simply can't go right now for off ice reasons.

Or, people like me who were apparently lied to and told there was no opt out this season.

I asked 3 times over the summer, and my rep finally got back to me and said her manager said no.

So I'm done with the devils season tickets, I don't take being lied to kindly.

I'm sorry you had to go through that. I do know some reps helped out STH while others did not. It stinks.

Yeah it should have been a uniformed option, especially during an unprecedented time where different people have different circumstances. I fully admit though that I was very adamant that I wasn't able to attend this season and as a long time season ticket holder who plans to have my seats until I drop dead that I needed them to work with me during this mess.

Hoping to be back next season cause I do miss it even if the team blows.

Yeah I'm sure how they handled season tickets depended on which rep you talked to, which wouldn't be the first time and probably won't be the last time there are mixed messages considering how much turnover they have among their reps (mine changed in-season and at least once a year the last few years). I didn't even bother asking cause I did want to start going to games again after a year and a half, little did I know we'd be back in masks by January and have nearly a whole season's worth of meaningless and/or rescheduled games.

Unless traffic is really bad I’m sitting in the stands as of 7pm and I can’t see anymore than 5K people being in this building and that number may be generous.

LOL they're supposed to have ticket renewals coming out this week too aren't they? What wonderful timing.

Why anyone would renew, I have no idea. Save your money and go to a few games a year. This can't be fun.

I don't miss giving them up last season. I'd be furious going to this in person.

I don't miss giving them up 1 but last season. I'd be furious going to this in person.

I'm less pissy not being able to sell the tickets and no-showing than I would be if I had gone just because of a sunken cost.

Taking a look at the renewal program.....My invoice total remained the same.

1. The buyback program is going back to 8 games for next season. (I like this change)

2. You're allowed to choose two renewal incentives such as free tickets, printed tickets, guaranteed giveaways, merch, player event, etc.

3. The rewards and ticket swap program are returning.

Ugh I had a sales rep emailing me for months because I had used my email address to purchase tickets for my dad. So I replied back to him that I'm already a member, and I guess he unsubscribed me from all Devils emails. I called my rep and he said he was able to re-subscribe me, but I haven't received anything for weeks. Can't find a renewal email anywhere...

I never got an actual renewal email yet, just a renewal form from my rep but the title of the email is the reps name and from docusign so I hadn't seen it right away.

So did they actually send renewal stuff out yet? I thought it was supposed to go out by the 7th. I don't want to get stuck in auto-renewal cause I need to at least reduce the number of seats on my account.

I haven't gotten anything official but you're better off calling your rep and then send an email to confirm the change as well. I always make sure to get things in email form because the reps turnover way too much to just have a phone call agreement.

I was wondering this as well. I emailed my rep to say that I heard of people receiving info about renewals, but that I seem to be opted-out from getting Devils emails, and he only replied back that I should now be opted-in for getting emails. He mentioned nothing about renewals...

Allegedly it’s coming today, I got one yesterday or the day before saying renewal info would be sent on the 10th
