saw that coming

the worse thing out of this is that hansen is now officially a "repeat offender" the next time he does something "bad"

Imagine if Hansen played for the Penguins and Hossa played for the Canucks.

"Good hockey hit; Hossa just ran into his arm! 10 game suspension for Hossa!"

Ain't that the truth.

Honey Badger gives no ****s, will just keep piledriving with his 'bows up.

wrong. you clearly know nothing about brain injuries.

I am a hockey fan talking about hockey on a hockey forum.
That's all you pickup?
My lack of medical knowledge?
Unless you are a doctor in real life, can you show me some proof or research then?
I would like to learn more, regardless.

While the evidence seems to show that prior concussions don't increase the likelihood of suffering future concussions, there is some evidence that there are various factors that genetically predispose certain people to brain injury. Combine this with a basic understanding of Bayesian inference, and chances are that his statement may actually be (accidentally) correct.

Could you show me some proof?
I have actually read the opposite, especially during the time when Crosby was hurt and that was all the media reported on.

The second part of your statement actually explained clearly why some people have multiple concussions in their career.
I am quite impress with your medical knowledge.
Do you work in the medical field by any chance?

Don't really agree with it, but I'm having a hard time caring too much. Hansen loses a day's pay and gets half of a back to back off; not really a big deal.

Completely ridiculous.

We should sign both Lindros brothers for the playoffs and reap the benefits of suspensions when they inevitably get knocked out by any contact at all.

I wish I could say I'm surprised but the amount bleating from certain members of the hockey media had me suspicious that something silly like this would happen.

Much like this ridiculous shortened season, the NHL continuously finds ways to embarrass itself.

I don't get it. The only thing the canucks are ''dirty'' for is diving, embellishing, and I don't know what else. There isn't even a cheap shot rat in the system. Burrows and Lapierre don't even do stuff that harm others, they do things that tamper their reputation.

I think its fair if we get an apology from the league for the terrible refs they gave us last game.

Should have gone the full Duncan Keith elbow on him. That's only 4 games more.

That's too much energy... Hossa has such a weak head, flick him with your finger... Probably worth just a fine, and don't even have to use your entire arm...

Better yet, just play loud music and shine bright lights when he's around... Don't even have to get out of bed... Worth the fine...

Its that he gets on the repeat offenders list and if he ever slips up , it will be a much more severe suspension

He basically uses it warning on a play where there shouldn't have been any warning/suspension

How about that player who elbowed Kesler a couple games ago? Did he get a suspension?, that was as much as a headshot as anything i've seen. And actually intentional
