I timestamped this video to show the comparison between the 2019 trailer and the final games opening scene. 36:19 if the timestamp doesn't work. I'm still hyped for the game but that might be the biggest downgrade I've ever sen.

I really hope they realize that if people can’t pick what they want to play soon then the game is going to die.

They’ve already addressed playlists, and I was told this game would be dead on arrival with no Battle Royale mode. People are so quick to declare when games will and are dead.

Not really. Halo has always had pots.

Slayer will get it’s own playlist.

The objective modes will be grouped together.

BTB modes will be grouped together.

Unless you only want all Slayer all the time, you’re not going to be able to just jump into Oddball cause you have a challenge for it. There’s not going to be an only-Oddball playlist, an only-CTF playlist, etc.

Good to see the hacks at 343 still can't design good combat encounters after having 3 ****ing games worth of time to do so.

The main issues I have with CQC in this game is that you can walk through each other while you try to melee and that game seems to have some kind of issue with the net code or hit registration that is more noticeable and frustrating when someone is right in your face.

The mid range combat feels great, so I hope they turn player collision back on for all playlists and fix whatever is going on with the melee inconsistency to improve the CQC.

That was my summation of MP. The maps are great. The gameplay blows.

I think you're the first person I've seen say the maps are great or that the gameplay blows. I think the maps in this are fine, but nothing special, especially considering how great some of them were in past games. And while I do a few issues with some aspects of the gameplay, overall it's excellent.

This first boss is horrendous.

Dude gets a basically one shot ground pound that seems to track you in air and will land on you unless if you grapple out of the way. He does it right off the rip too so if you die, you better not miss a grapple or you're probably dead

If he doesn't kill off, his dickhead jackal goons (which are stronger than regular jackals and have manglers) will. I also like how shooting them through the arm/shield holes doesn't work like it did in the old games. Because nothing says balanced game design like an enemy with a shield that can't be broken quickly!

Also gets a hydra launcher that killed me multiple times through cover.

oh and his shields recharge unrealistically fast.

Awful on legendary, also not fun on heroic. Great f***ing job clowns.

This has the same god damn problem as 4's campaign had. Bullet sponges do not equal difficulty.

Best strategy is to hammer him on the word go.

Bring the skewer with you. You can sometimes cause him to cancel his initial ground pound but I'm not quite sure as to how. He also doesn't like being grappled. If he's sitting still and you aim it and shoot it at him he'll flinch even if you miss. Miss the shot, hammer him with 2 plasma nades.

Then it's just a matter of skewering him. Toasted his ass in 30 seconds on legendary. Do not try and turn it into a war of attrition

Still shitty design imo but whatever he's dead

We're the best at finding because we're the best at hiding" "OH NO I FOUND HIM!"

The grunts are still fun to kill at least lmao.

Reminds me of the separatist elites from 3 where if you stand still long enough they start to banter. Or complain if you switch weapons with them.

"Didn't I get you this for Christmas?"

I used melee only and killed him. Hehe

So what's the deal with these squads i get with distress calls?

Is there a way to like, call on them after i save them? keep them at a base?
