Honestly, the only reason this would upset me is if there are skulls to collect.

If not, I'm happy to just play through, then play through again on Heroic, then play through again on Legendary.
Skulls and other things are collectables to be found. Looks like you have to start a whole new campaign if you forgot one but wanted to find them all.

I mean, you can’t replay missions in most open world games I’ve played, so it’s not a huge surprise to me. Any other franchise and people probably wouldn’t care, but this is a different game than prior Halo’s so it will be a little different.

I give them credit for trying something new, because it takes balls with a franchise like this.

I’ve already complained about this once but I just want to post again how frustrated I am with the SBMM. It’s to the point where I literally don’t want to play with more than 1 friend at a time because when we 3 or 4 stack we go against all diamond or onyx players and win 2/10ish games. When it’s just myself or 1 other it’s actually guys at our skill level and we win 5 or 6 out of 10 and they’re generally all fun games.

The algorithm for sbmm is insanely tilted against 4 stacks to the point where I don’t want to play with my friends anymore. Please tell me in what universe this is a good idea?

Well now campaign level selection is "coming", that's great but I do miss the days when the games would be complete on release, I think those days are over. The strategy now is, get the minimum viable product out there and improve it if it sells well enough.

Based on the reviews the campaign is pretty damn good. I'll wait for co-op to be added to play it, but it's great to see another good campaign mode after 4 and 5.

If it’s an open world game how can there be level selects?

Haven't won a game all afternoon. Love this matchmaking system!

Love how i can't hear people around me and how the radar is basically useless.

I think the radar is perfect.

Good enough to let you know when you should square up for a duel or retreat, not so good that you cant play aggressive cause the enemy with know where you are almost immediately.

I agree footsteps could be louder, but the Spartan chatter, team chat (if you’re playing in a group), map knowledge let you know where enemies are coming from most of the time.

Halo has always been a game about team-shooting, much less about ‘hero’ moments where you fight your way out of 3-on-1s. The idea in Halo is that good players and hood teams dont put themselves in those situations to begin with. A lot more thought needs to be put into each decision and engagement.

Always has and always will be about this. TTK is too high to run around and mow people down. Not enough people playing on their own have/use mics so there’s no communication.

Obviously if you’re super good at the game that matters less but for the average Halo player if you’re not working with your teammates then you’ll most likely die more and lose more.

Struggling players should stick to following a teammate or two around the whole time and covering them. It’s as sure a bet as any that you’ll have a better time than you would running airings trying to go 20-5 every game like most of these solo players do.

I mean the radar is definitely less useful than in past games, which I'm fine with, I wouldn't mind it being gone completely. I haven't played enough to figure out whether or not it will end up incentivizing crouch sneaking by allowing you to get really close and then crouch at the end of your route, or if makes it less useful since you by the time you're in radar range you can often just attack anyways since you're so close.

100 percent agree with this. I blame us consumers though, we just accept that games are not completed by launch and pre order the hell out of everything.
