Why would Armia "definitely" be playing?
He's been absolutely awful and should be the first person out if anyone, like Pezzetta, was coming in.
MSL isn't going to bench him.

People hating on Newhook a bit too much IMO.I'd prefer Slaf back with Suzuki, but that 2nd line is sexy big.
Slaf's the smallest guy on the line lol.
You're right he's in love with his Evans Armia duo and his Dvorak Anderson duo for the PK.MSL isn't going to bench him.
There is nothing wrong with the way Newhook has playing for a while now. For someone reason he's blanking on the scoresheet, but he is keeping up, setting up teammates and getting scoring chances.People hating on Newhook a bit too much IMO.
We all know he's in the wrong chair but at the same time Caufield has started scoring again and Suzuki is back on a PPG pace ever since he joined the line.
That has to count for something and the effect was exactly what I thought it was going to be the line is playing faster as a group.
When Slaf finds his stride he'll slot back in so either his head or his legs need to comply and probably a bit of both.

He reminds me of Slaf last year playing well, but no points.
It's all about perception. Newhook plays the same and is producing at a .6ppg clip in the latest stretch and everyone says hes playing well.
It's a results business for sure, but he has been playing well.
He sent him to the minors last year ?MSL isn't going to bench him.

I figure that was a duo decision. But he hasn’t played bad that’s fair. That was Hughes. And, Armia was playing a lot worse than he was now.
Not before the Jet game.Yoel with hat-trick tonight. Book it!
Show your support for Patrik, everyone.
Let's all wear weird pants.
LFGLane with 1+1
Laine with 1+1
Attend que Laine tricote une couple de goalThere's not enough wool in this thread imo

Usually, I hate when people blame the refs for penalties because it tends to even out over the season, but that game against the Rangers was brutal. Ron Fournier used to say he’d be a little tougher on the Habs to avoid seeming biased as a Montrealer. That ref from Gatineau on Saturday took that idea and multiplied it by 100 - blatantly disadvantaging the Habs -pretty sure he's a Senators' fanI couldn’t stand MSL’s presser after the Rags game where he said some six times that he wasn’t going to talk about the refs, when no one even asked him to. Pure recycled Torts-style hogwash.

Reminds me of last season when Slaf had 2 assists in his 15 games, but was playing super well.I would like to agree with you but he is on pace for zero assists this year playing 2nd line minutes. It’s beyond bad.
You’re right, granted it’s a small sample but Newhook-Suzuki-Caufield have a positive scoring chance differential (around 60% - the best line combo this year)People hating on Newhook a bit too much IMO.

It does count for something — raises his stock for trading purposes, ever so subtly.People hating on Newhook a bit too much IMO.
