It's been 10 years since Le Gros Bill has passed away.

I wonder if they'll do a small ceremony to remember him.

Never saw him play live as he retired like 17 years before I was born, but never made it to a game and try to meet him.

Laine-Dach-Slafkovsky : the redemption line, love it! Hopefully, MSL gives them some time and leniency to grow as a line.
yup I really really like the potential of that line. The keyword here being potential

I swear if you asked me how long it's been since he died, I would have said like 4 years, tops. I'm confused

MSL using his same old bullshit terms of concepts. The day he leaves is the day we improve as a team
I couldn’t stand MSL’s presser after the Rags game where he said some six times that he wasn’t going to talk about the refs, when no one even asked him to. Pure recycled Torts-style hogwash.

So if he does something we're all screaming "In the Mix" at the same time, if he doesn't we're finding more excuses?
Nice strawman. If he does well, we should be happy. No one is saying or should be saying in the mix because of one game. He should be given a few games with that talent on his line for those guys to figure it out. I hope he does well. We need him.

Dach is definitely who I would try him with.

What exactly is your issue with this? I don't get the outrage.
agreed

I think Dach is overthinking everything, which makes him slow at deciding what to do.
Hopefuly the wow factor of playing with Laine will help him just act and not think. He needs to play by instinct.

As for Laine, I doubt he cares lol

Usually good players need other good players to shine with. I'm sure Laine will be rusty to start with and Dach being in coma isn't ideal, but Laine can really create offense and if Dach gets on the same wavelength, it can work great and bring him out of his shell too. Not expecting a whole lot to happen in the first few games. Except maybe on PP.

Poor Suzuki tho lol
I bet he gets better without Slaf.

You're right, I'm just being cynical.

Based on effort/results our 4th line should be Newhook/Dach/Armia AINEC

Put Slaf/Laine/Heineman on the top line with Suzuki/CC, Newhook is useless there, don’t need 2 shoot first wingers especially one that can’t pass the puck no matter how fast he is.

Well I disagree regarding Beck but still, if you add 3 more offensive weapons(Demidov/Hage/1st 2025) to this current team, it's impressive isn't?
Depends who we draft (could be another D-man) but it could start to look interesting. We are rebuilding after all so the strength of the prospect pool is all we have to brag about.
