Nice way to try and downplay it.
Where's the proof of those thousands of hate messages? There's literally ONE video from tw*tter of a guy screaming and being upset. That's it.
At the light of what we know, it's beginning to be clear that this title was misleading and that it either includes social media messages, or somebody came up with a clickbait title. There's no way an 18 years old personally receives thousands of hate mail including death threats and nobody have more about it 3 days later.
Here's what he said.
"I don't want to talk about it," Reinbacher said about the negative messages he received on social media. "I read the good messages. Thanks to all the fans who wrote the good messages. It's time to work. [There's] a lot of work to do. If they talk negative, probably I will prove them wrong one day. I will work at it."
The last paper about it on LaPresse mentions a number of people (read a-holes) trashing him on his IG (which led him to disable the comment section of his last post). But the title, complete with
''thousands'' in quotation marks begin to look like someone got carried with hyperbole. Hate messages online need to be condemned, but we're talking about let's say, Facebook comments, the number is not that surprising given the size of the fan base.
