Guelph acquires 19 year old RD Isaac Enright from Missy for a 5th and a conditional 10th. I like this move a lot. It moves Robinson down the depth chart, Enright can slot in with Murray on the second pairing. Guelph only had one lock at OA next year (Bowman). He is a former 1st round pick so hopefully he can show his upside with a fresh start in Guelph.

Love the rivalry between Owen Sound and Guelph...but...I got to say it...your tv colour guy has got to go!! Wow....ruins the talents of one of the best p×p guys in the league

Enright looking good on the second pairing.

With Zhilkin and Bowman in tonight I really hope we see a second line of Zhugin/Karabela/Bowman.

Will Zhilkin be on the move? Anyone else Guelph is looking to sell?

Zhilkin is the only Storm player of value I think should be traded- he is currently scoring at a PPG and shouldn't be in the O next year (drafted). Of the top 10 scorers 8 should be back-(only Zhilkin and Murray OA will be gone.) So trade Zhilkin for picks and build up the draft cupboard for next year

Guelph is looking good heading into the Christmas break. It's nice to see the team turning it around. Namestnikov continues to be a beast, it will be exciting to watch him next year.

I'm curious to know if anyone can shed light on the goalie/card situation. Gillespie has played 5 games for the Storm and 22 for the Ayr Centennials. Does this mean he is an affiliate/call up? Is he only able to play as long as Ayr doesn't have a game, and is he limited in the number of games he plays?

Is Guelph concerned with cards? Unless Gillespie plays a bunch more games he will be on a "B" card and won't count towards the 30.

Hello Storm fans
Tonight I am reaching out to the broader hockey family and communities not as a London Knights fan, but as a concerned human being. As you know, one of our Knights players died tragically this past Saturday. His friends, family and the community are devastated.
Please consider donating to the GoFundMe page set up by his family to help with the funeral arrangements.
Thank you

Hi again.
Seems the page has been taken down for some reason.
The Knights are checking into it with the family right now. Please stay tuned.

They don't have any card concerns, but I'm wondering if there are agreements with the affiliate teams? I.e. he is expected to play in Ayr and be "loaned" to the Storm (as is the case with a B card, I know they have max games.)

Guelph has three goalies on the go currently, Gillespie has been performing quite well. So I'm wondering if it is a courtesy to Ayr, a choice based on what is best for his development, or another rules based decision as to why he isn't playing up more with Guelph.

I don't think it's a rules thing. Probably more a combination of the first two. Greyhounds were in much the same boat, and when they had to call up Miller for a longer duration because of Schenkels injury, their junior b affiliate Thunderbirds signed a new goalie - Zeppa to replace him (well, he's not exactly new, played past seasons for them just hadn't this season).

Dixon Grimes was signed by QMJHL Charlottetown today.
I saw that on Twitter... it answers by Gillespie question. He's been playing great and deserves to see ice in Guelph. This bodes well for the last half.

Kudos to McKenzie tonight... he has been playing amazing at both ends of the ice (forcing turnovers, checking), glad he notched his first goal.

Poitras with the hatty.

More of this to close out the year. For fans who haven't been paying attention... the Storm of the last month is not the Storm in the standings, be warned.

Raise your hand if you think Robinson and Paquette should be on the PP.

No knock on the players... but not their role.

Lets see what George has up his sleeve as we approach the deadline. It will be interesting to see if Sudbury become sellers. One out of left field move may be to trade Zhilkin for 2 2nds and a 3rd, then add one of our 2023 2nds and a couple other thirds for Goyette.

If he can manage to acquire a high end '04, we'd have the best '04 group in the league next year with Poitras, Namestnikov, Buchinger, Karabela, Zhugin + ?. It doesn't make sense to sit on three 2nds in the upcoming draft when next year is the window. Those picks as players will take time to develop.

If Goyette was traded from Sudbury, the fans would burn the city down. Not gonna happen. So sorry, I don’t see us selling our young core…

Never happen. Goyette is a big piece for next season. If the Wolves falter next season and they are too far behind in the East then maybe at the deadline of 2023-24 Goyette may be dealt. But unlikely anything happens with him this year.

It might be best to let memorial cup bidding use up assets now to solidify their bids, so your team can strike next year when some of Goyette, Nelson, O.Beck, …are available
