Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. The admin team will continue to work on existing issues, templates and upgrade all necessary available addons to minimize impact of this new version. Click Here for Updates

maybe they shoudlnt have, the team they had may have a better record then the current one.
no it wasnt, we all said it at the time lol. i compared it to the ny rangers back when they went balls to the walls
I like it, Pastujov puts up points but the value returned opens up other options. (Half Pastujov's goals are scored from the exact same spot and on the PP). Hopefully Max turns a corner in Guelph and the extra picks give Guelph options to still contend in the playoffs, but bring in top talent/picks who will be around for a bigger run next year.
Ideas on lines for now?
Zhugin/Zhilkin/Poitras
Karabela/Namestnikov/Bowman?
Anyone from Sarnia know how Namestnikov is on the dot or was he mostly a winger there?
Hoping the team gets healthy and we can see what happens. Further to OHL4Life's point, don't put it past George to still be watching to see what happens... If they look good come deadline you could still see those 2nd's flipped with Luchanko in a monster deal. A lot depends on how well Gillespie/Oster do, health, and defensive play overall.

He was over 50% last yr on almost 500 draws. Was moved to wing this yr to try & unlock some offense. Unfortunately didn't happen.
Hope he does well for u guys! Fun player when everything is clicking.

Absolutely. Max will be here next year and Guelph can use those picks if a quality '04/'05 is available near the deadline.
With Bowman out tonight I'd like to see the top two lines look like this:

8 minutes in and Ice Dogs up 2 0. Shots are 7 0. Storm being outhustled amd outskated. Ok just got a shot on net.
To update the Storm game back to significantly outshoot Niagara and cit the lead in half. Then the Ice Dogs got what looked like to be a weak goal.
Great to see Max off to a hot start.
I am not sold on the coaching decisions, especially if it does not improve leading into next year. At least there is now a proven top line of Namestnikov/Zhilkin/Poitras.
Get Walker on the wing. He is not winning face offs and is becoming a liability. Not a good look.

Has George been arrested for grand larceny yet? Namestnikov (3G 3A in 2 games) who will be here for another 2 or 3 years PLUS 4 high draft picks for Pastujov? I love it!
To be fair to Sarnia, Namestnikov didn't have Zhilkin and Poitras as linemates there. But I agree, a great deal and is exactly what we needed for next year. Excited to see what tweaks may come at the deadline after a great weekend for the team!
The fact Burnett isn’t back behind the bench does make me wonder if some of his authoriTy was taken from him. Part of me has always wondered if he never wanted to give up bench duties, but a part owner wanted it so he steps aside. You would think the current situation cries out for his return behind the bench but maybe he was a bit jilted by it being taken from him (and perhaps again in the future) that he keeps to managing exclusively…..just my wild speculation
That is a lot of speculation. I assume that it would be a discussion that would be had as opposed to a unilateral decision as there are many moving parts... you would want to assess the impact on Wiseman as well, they may very well have had internal conversations with specific benchmarks/timelines before making a reactive move. I am not worried at this point, the team just won their last two, Namestnikov looks great, time to reassess at Christmas as it would be a natural point for a shift.
3 for 3 with Max in the lineup. 4 goals and 3 assists for 7 points in 3 games.
Off to the Sound today. Bowman is close, would be nice to see him reunited with Karabela on thr second line to hopefully get Karabela going again.
