I said after one get a GD goaltender…after two I’ll say it again
It'll never happen... but Luchanko and another forward, 3 2nds, 3 3rds and a 5th for Wright/Zhigalov

Namestnikov/Wright/Poitras
Karabela/Zhilkin/Bowman
Zhugin/Walker/McFarlane

Zhigalov
Gillespie

At least me posting these ridiculous scenarios brings posters. Lol

Spaghetti at the wall!

What’s your projected forward group now that you’ve moved Zhilkin?

Zhilkin has been out with suspension and they've had this top line:

Namestnikov/Karabela/Poitras

2nd line has been Walker/McFarlane checking.

3rd line skilled but younger, Zhugin + +.

We've got depth on forward, but an addition would make sense based on our glut of 2nds in the next draft.

I hope Guelph land Owen Beck.

Next years forward group would be amazing:

Namestnikov/Beck/Poitras
Zhugin/Karabela/Bowman
McKenzie/McGuire/Luchanko
Grundner/McKnight/Paquette

I hope London is in on him. He’s a very good player. Whatever team ends up with him will be happy

Jan 9SARChandler Romeo
SAR 2 2026
GUEBAR 2 2023
HAM 4 2023

I like this move... more defensive help, and they swap 2nd rounders... Guelph had an excess of '23 seconds which won't be tradeable assets for next years' run. Romeo is drafted so who knows if he's back next year, either way I think it's a smart move.

A solid deadline by George. Got maximum returns for Zhilkin and Pastujov.
Upgraded defense and goaltending at little cost.

Ready to go down the stretch and give 'er next year!

Next year could look something like this (not including 1st round pick in 2023). I took liberties in assuming our OA's.

Karabela/Poitras/Bowman
Zhugin/Namestnikov/Luchanko
McGuire/McKenzie/Paquette
Grundner/McKnight/Coughlan

Buchinger/Allen
Romeo?Okitundu/Enright
Sandhu/Topp

Leaver/Gillespie

What can you tell wolves fans about Coughlan?

Hamilton fan here.

What can we expect from Okitundu?

Thanks
I think he's looked good since coming to Guelph! He was only here half a season so OS fans may have more to say. He is a good size and skates well. He seems to have a good sense of when to jump in, chipped in a but offensively. Guelph picked up Romeo from Sarnia who also plays on the left side, so that could've played into the decision to move him. Guelph's D was pretty young, likely hoping one or both of Enright and Romeo stick as OA defenseman.

I'm going to piss off Nelli by saying Guelph won the deadline. Subtle moves, but thank you for Leaver!!

I think the 2nd line should be changed. I don't want to see Max languish with checkers. Everyone knows I love the Karabela/Poitras/Bowman combo, and they produce. I propose I 2nd line of Zhugin/Namestnikov/Luchanko... let's see if we can get that group going.

Interesting line. Fast paced and gritty.

My choices for lines moving forward
Namestnikov-Poitras-Bowman
Karabela- Walker-McFarlane
Zhugin-Fishman-Luchanko
McGuire-McKenzie-Paquette
All LW shoot left, all RW shoot right

Buchinger-Allen
Robinson-Murray
Romeo-Enright
Again LD shoot left, RD shoot right

Let the games begin!

I like it but would slot McKenzie ahead of Fishman and Romeo ahead of Robinson.

McKenzie on a 3 game goal streak! It would be great if he and Luchanko could develop some chemistry as they are from the same draft class.

Agree on switching Romeo and Robinson- makes sense.
Not sure about other switch- do you want 2 06s on third line and an 03 04 05 on fourth line?
I thought Fishman and Zhugin might well work.
Time will tell.

I'm not sure on Fishman yet... he's a scratch tonight, hard to see where he fits in.
Zhugin looks like he may break out next season, I'd want to put him with skill to achieve that.
It's a small sample size, but McKenzie looks to be putting it together and putting up points.
The 4th line is usually relegated to rookies, I agree, so it's possible that Fishman and other bubble players get bumped after the draft.

It's interesting to see us lined up against Owen Sound, who will likely be our biggest competition next season. I'm looking to the pick cupboard to see how we compare!!
