We went from being one of the fastest teams in the league a few years ago, to being one of the slowest teams in the league and it's showing in a big way.

Since we're a slow team, we should at least be gritty and hard to play against. Instead we have a lineup constructed of prima donnas who like to check their bank account balances every day.

Thinking about how they’re going to frustrate you next.
Zamboni driver, check.
Up 3-1 to Montreal, check.
Trade a bad goalie for a worse goalie and then put him on LTIR, check.
Pay the same things more every few years, check.
Run it back x infinity, check.

The only reason Dubas is gone is because he ran out of ideas.
Shanny: Tell me Tre, what would you do?
Tre: Klingberg and Reaves.
Shanny: Ha, ha, that will drive DarkKnight nuts. You’re hired.

Hey man, we had our franchise C for about 10 minutes that series. It’s not like we had other 11 million dollar players to step up… oh wait a minute.

Just watched Marner's post game interview... wow. Chalking up the blown leads to just "sometimes things go your way and sometimes they don't" and "we played a great game". Yikes. Bring in someone who can make these guys accountable. I feel like alot of this starts with the coach.

It's f***ing January and you're still trying to put glass-half-full spins on L's that keep piling up? Brutal.

Folks it was a playoff type game out there last night .. our forwards were very competitive til half way through 3rd and then Oilers speed and tenacity took over our skill based approach (it always does in playoffs) .. Jones kept team in game with 19 high dangers chances against sure he gaffed on 1 no doubt .. if it wasn't for Jones that was a 4 goal loss .. bottom line that was SAME OLD SAME OLD Leafs .. Keefer tried to run Rielly ragged and unfortunately he ran out of gas and gave away puck for game winner .. but folks you can't play Rielly left, Reilly right, Rielly everywhere and give him ZERO support .. I BLAME SHANNY AND TRE for that game .. those 2 idiots have not figured it out .. Shanny you were never a smart kid but you are not stupid and i know you got da b*alls to fix this mess .. Tre is your puppet but give him some instruction before this mess goes over da edge .. everyone sees it .. we have 1 legit top 4 D in Rielly .. thats it thats all .. Brodie is in DEEP DEEP DEEP over his head on 1st pair (he is near washed) .. maybe maybe maybe he makes a 3rd pair but you don't need him on a 3rd pair .. and McCabe and Benoit are 3rd pair guys who can handle themselves .. Gio although he played ok last night is a 7th guy at best .. Lily is regressing this year probably because he has no one as a 3rd to help him out .. go get Jakob and Graves to give us a shot .. and hurry up about it .. we need them ASAP

Rielly - XXXXX
XXXXX - Lily
pick whatever 3rd liners you want from rest of this motely crew
Gio

Marner is out of touch but the scariest thing said this year was from Nylander in the 6-5 OT loss to Columbus.
We know we can score 5 he said.
That is completely the wrong attitude and why you have 1 win in 7 playoff tries.
These attitudes add up. The inconsistency, compete, starting on time, attention to detail, finishing strong, being prepared. 10 years later and it’s still a theme?
That not wait for age, that’s built in the core.

Every game where there is a battle of wills, the Leafs lose. The Oilers knew the Leafs had something to prove last night, so they took it from us. That's how weak our team is, because just about every single one of us knew it was coming.

The only player I am genuinely attached to at this point is Rielly. The rest of them can come or go, because even though Matthews is probably the most talented Leaf to ever lace them up, the culture of being here for the dollars starts with him. He backs it up more than the other amigos, but the problem still starts at the top.

Management and coaching need to have the house cleaned and the retool to begin in earnest. Unfortunately, this is not a serious organization and they won't have the balls to do anything drastic until it is far too late. We already signed Nylander to an albatross contract and Marner is coming up next. When the Leafs have sent the 18 wheeler over the cliff in yesteryears, it only ends that one season. This year's 18 wheeler might genuinely sink us for most of a decade. Classic Leafs!

Watched the Winnipeg highlights Hellebuyck let in a bad goal last night as well it happens.

Jones let in 3 of 4 bad goals.

Literally got beat by the same shot by Mackinnon his last game with basically the same time left. The book is out, he can’t cover the far side on any shot.

We were lucky enough that Hyman has no hockey IQ and touched the puck offside when he could have easily exited the zone first - that was also a bad goal.

I don’t care if Tavares wears the C.
IMO, Marner is the Alpha and the teams takes on his personality.
Speaking of the C, Tavares seems even more checked out this year.
Tavares knows what this team is, he knows they’re going nowhere, perhaps he’d be open to moving on for his last year……..

McDavid was hitting our players like prime Lindros. Because even he knows, there will be no pushback
Even if there is, they got bigger guns in Kane and Nurse. We don't

We are not fast, not tough and not enough skill to out score our opponent

Really don't know what kind of team we have here

It's sad ro see Brodie's play fall off so much.

He as a good soldier for awhile, and when the Leafs had a healthy Muzzin, Reilly and him they actually were pretty good in their own end.

Now he can't really do anything well. Hopefully he can put it together one last time for 40 or so games before he moves on

- Rielly is a beast god damn
- Jones v good but that first goal is putrid
- how do you not bury that chance off the Jarnkrok pass. it almost richoceted back in off his stick even, a goal was 85% scored for him. insane how bad he (Bert) has been!
- great hit by McCabe on total warrior Zach Hyman, good game overall by him
- Domi looking real dumb chasing that hit on the 2nd goal, he's just a bit of a doofus, oh well

Sure we know, we just don't want to type it out for fear that it's true.

It's not a team at all. It's a country club for talented players. It's an organization where the measuring stick is who gets paid the most, and how much they all get paid in comparison to each other. The things that they have written in their jerseys, Honour, Pride, and Courage are just fancy words that tell the fans what they want to hear. They mean nothing to the guys wearing them.

If I type more I'm going to start getting into unhinged rants. This group sucks the life out of each other like a group of ego vampires. They're the worst.

Go Leafs Go

Domi has been super disapointing to me. He doesn't think the game at all
I thought he would have more zest in his game. There's nothing there I like so far
If it wasn't for Jones, that game would have been out of hands 2nd period. We were 90% hemmed in
