not surprised, but didn't they want to continue to play?

That's what the US broadcasters were saying, but I think Ian Darke and whoever was with him (Taylor Twellman?) were having a Chico moment. There's no way Costa Rica wanted to play when they were behind and a suspension of the game would have canceled out the US lead.

Costa Rica suspending the game would potentially lead to an entirely different US lineup that could include the likes of Donovan.

Both teams played in the **** so how did it benefit one over the other? Did it benefit the US because some of our players built snowmen as kids?

Game would have been resumed with a 1-0 lead today

I still can't believe Costa Rica is *****ing about this.

You knew you had a game scheduled in mid-March in a city a mile above sea level, and you're shocked that there was snow? **** off.

Why don't you go ***** about the snow to players on Russian clubs and see how they sympathize with you?

Meanwhile, a player from TEXAS scored the only goal of the match. Go ask Dempsey how used he is to the snow.

I bet he was the first one to grab something and ruin our beautiful snack spread in their locker room AT LEAST once. So its a justified statement.

He's out of position because everyone is hurt. No one they put there will do better.

USA is scoring a garbage goal in the 82nd minute

The USA hasnt even tried to score this half, which was obviously the strategy announced at halftime.

It's tough to watch this, reminds me of the New York Rangers 3rd period strategy in tied games.

Foul or not, the theatrics in the box by the Mexican forward there was an embarrassment.

Another aspect that makes soccer difficult to be a serious fan of.

Depends on the league. Its not overly prevalent in MLS from what I've seen. But it does apply to most leagues I'm sure. Probably worse as the talent level goes up.
