He gets them going in the wrong directionAgreed. Credit to DJ Smith. I don't remember this team ever quitting on him. He knows how to get the team going.

Best coach on the planet
Yet they always make mistakes on all the data site giving him a record of 81-104-24 instead of his actual 200-2-2
Good.Attendance:

Ya, and they keep fighting and come back. Got to reduce the errors and digging such a big hole for themselves though.I guess the positives are
1. New lines looked like a bit of chemistry happening
2. Talbot looked good
You seem like a fun dude to get stoned withAgreed. Credit to DJ Smith. I don't remember this team ever quitting on him. He knows how to get the team going.
There is a difference between an easily identifiable single player mistake and overall team defence.Yeah if you remove the bad defensive plays we look alright defensively.
It’s either intellectually dishonest or they don’t understand the game. Pretty sure it’s the former not the latter.3 egregious turnovers have resulted in goals. It doesn’t matter what happens on the ice same player/coach will be the target of all criticism. Blaming defensive zone play is just a convenient way to toss it back on the coach.
He got Talbot a standing OHow about that Zaitsev.
Who says I'm not stoned right now?You seem like a fun dude to get stoned with
Don’t think we were great or good defensively. The individual gaffes aside. Looked the same as everything else except our offense was going tonight. We obviously disagree. There is a difference between an easily identifiable single player mistake and overall team defence.
Better than Chabot? Chabot has no pace on the powerplay which completely kills his ability to QB regardless of the goal count.
Makes sense given the stuff you said tonightWho says I'm not stoned right now?
Games like these where we rally to almost tie it up after a horrendous period are dangerous because they give a false impression of competitiveness as well as more leeway for a bad coach to keep his position.
We really don't have the luxury of patience here as we could be out of it by December with no chance of passing 5 good teams in the Atlantic.

They'll learn. This is a young team with many years ahead of them. It's almost like the classic Ottawa way, play their best when the games are meaningless.
If they play like they did tonight they'll concede 5 goals and lose by 1.If they play like they did tonight, they'll do well in the next 10 games.
You’ve selected your narrative and you are sticking to it no matter the overwhelming evidence you are wrong. They have been terrible defensively in 3 games this year, tonight wasn’t one of them.Lol you're such a smart guy eh?
Maybe some of us look at the overall picture and see how Dj Smith just can't seem to get his players to play a consistent game, much less have them not looking like lost sheep in the D zone.
