Somewhere in Quebec.
Literally every time Canada loses a tournament you get this comment. The other one is how it's so ODD players like to win a medal like Bronze. "Coz no way canadians would celebrate that etc." Bunch of rubbish when you see players actually winning it and celebrating the hell out of it.
Idk, I watched all 3 loses. I watched the Russia loss.

2010 stings, 2011 we let go, idk 2017 or was it 2018 we blow the lead, today we don’t play awful.

4 gold medal game loses in 11 years, won what 3 of them ?
I think we should have won 2011 and 2018 at home.

today US did earn it, but I can’t say we were beat through and through.

I think the hardest part is that in these games we weren’t beat through and through. That’s why it’s so tough on some posters.

That just might be the worst fail at a hug I have ever seen in my life

One thing we know about WJC and goalies in general is that a good result at the tourney says very little about their future prospects.

Disappointed by Team Canada's perfomance but also very impressed by USA's perfomance, even if Canada looked better on paper USA deserved the win 100% they came to win and so did the big guns, really loving the Zegras pick that kid is amazing was dangerous on every shift all tourney

Congrats US hopefully it pushes the country to keep producing more hockey players over there and until next WJC you guys are #1

On that note let the NHL BEGIN Go Habs

We needed to score a greasy one and there was nobody on the lineup to play that game.

Not to mention the 20 minutes of standing around.

No sorry, the team with all first round picks up front getting dummied by the mediocre American team in a shallow tournament certainly deserves blame.

arent alot of our players relatively young tho? I think alot of them will be back next year no?

Yup, it might be a hottake, but again the facts don't lie. Canada couldn't sustain any pressure and any chance they got came off the rush and not on rebounds. Remember this is USA's generational draft year team minus Hughes, these lads have been playing together for like 4 seasons now even if their junior and college team has changed.
There wasn't any rush chances by Canada. Every chance they got came from sustained pressure, no tips, or rebounds though. They did have plenty of traffic in front but not enough quality chances.
