Usually I'm still proud of our boys in defeat like in 2017 after a breathtaking 5-4 SO defeat.

But this was abysmal, no excuse to have played that poorly after how well they played all tournament.

This team reminds me of the Canada teams from 2002-2004, steamrolling through the group stage and medal rounds and collapsing in the GMG.

I seriously think Hockey Canada should have another summit, we need to fix this problem

Damn nice work team usa! Sweet throw back jerseys too. Shocked they shut out team Canada when some were saying on this very message board that this could be the best team Canada ever at this level. Pretty surprising stuff! I guess thats why they play the game and dont just take others word for it.

Some of the Canadian fans in here should give their heads a shake.

The team is a bunch of kids and they got beat by a better team on this night.

Shame? Embarrassment? Give me a break.

The entire country is watching them. The US doesn't have that kind of pressure.

The US came out hard and scored the first goal and that's a huge advantage which they exploited.

Canada never really got going until the third and even then, they didn't get a lot of Grade A chances aside from maybe McMichael's breakaway.

Stop bullying a bunch of Canadian kids and start acknowledging how well the US played tonight.

Yeah, I don't get it. It's the world juniors. Not the olympics. The juniors are great for seeing who the up and coming hockey prospects are. As a Sens fan, I'm almost as happy to see the US win.

I was happy with their performance tbh. They came out flat and couldn't find their game for the first 30 mins. After the big PK where Byram hit the post they controlled the played and barely gave up a shot, couldn't buy one tonight though.

No... I'm pretty sure the better TEAM won .. accept it.
Not only did the better team win, but the score could have been 5-0. US missed so many chances either high or right into Levi's chest.
Canada has lots of talent, as does the US. I never saw this as lopsided in Canada's favor, as so many pre-game prognosticators did.

It was like there was some other talented team in the tournament.

Byram's chance was the best and it came off a rush. Canada had chances, but never capitalised on them I agree, but in a game like today Canada needed a rebound goal and they never had any.
Ya, didn't mean "any" literally, that was definitely their best chance for sure though, you're right.
