I typo’d that. Should have been 2 stoppable. Oops. Re-edited.

I felt a bit bad giving him softy of the night for that, but it was pretty bad because it rolled in on him before it was even shot.

The guy did steal it like 2 seconds before that, so I didn’t blame him too much, but still gave him a stoppable goal for it.

rolling puck on shot G2 ...we've both played net.....sometimes things look different in the cage.... if that was a shot top corner with a nice flat puck on the ice we're having a conversation about 'down too early' instead

Softy of the night is this Pius Suter goal on Joonas Korpisalo




This was a real softy of the year candidate. This is up there with a couple of the recent Samsonov laughers before he was waived.

Hilariously bad goal. Not sure why Korpisalo has defenders left. He has one of the worst goalie contracts in the league and had the worst contract of 2023 UFA day.

God help the Senators.

And the one guy (one of the goalie analytics people) was sooooo confident he was going to be good and he only played poorly prior 22-23 because his hip was bothering him for many years and now it’s all behind him since the surgery prior to last season lol.

Thought both we bad goals to allow. No surprise we'd get Sofie of the night honors. Even with Carolina playing. Canes are cooking right now despite their swiss cheese protecting their net.

Didn’t catch this whole game and I was surprised to see that it wasn’t Lankinen’s goal against as softy of the night, this Vladar one was even more rough than Lankinen’s. Good thing it was during an otherwise easy win.

It was so bad that my two of my buddies have started checking out goal highlights, but only when time permits for them. They were both hanging out together checking them out on Thursday night and one of them texted me to check out McCarron’s goal on Vladar, before I had even gotten to it. He did the same thing with Korpisalo’s goal the night before, although I had already gotten to it before he did.

Yeah, I remember Lankinen turned it over behind the net I think or maybe he passed it to somebody on the other team? So I nailed him on the only goal he allowed in that game in relief.
