Softy of the night is this Nick Bjugstad goal on Jaxson Stauber



Almost 3 different errors by him on this goal. He appears to turn the puck over to the Coyotes while winding it around the boards, then he pushes it right back into play on one of the shots, then he still gets beat on a leaky shot after he had plenty of time to recover.

To be fair, maybe he couldn’t do much when he put it back into play. He may have missed it if he dove on it to try for a whistle and there wasn’t a teammate close enough for him to push it off too.

It was hard to pick a softy of the night out of those 28, but this one stuck out yesterday. Normally I wouldn’t give a one timer a softy of the night, but it was from way far out, he was pretty much in position for it and it barely looked like it left the ice, just going off his pad and in.

Terrible goal. Pretty sure he’s in the lead for the stoppable goal Vezina race this year. Vladar playing a significant amount of games has probably kept him out of the front of the pack for the stoppable goal Jennings Trophy.

I know I have before, but it’s rare on 4 or 5 goals.

And not only him, but Fleury also went 3 for 3 last night.

The main board GDT was filled with posters going off on Campbell last night. At one point somebody posted that he allowed 4 goals on a GSAx of 0.18!

So fitting that they had Bill Guerin up there in the booth with them live during this goal lol.

And after my prediction last night that I could see the Lightning signing him or Quick next year to be the backup for Vasilevskiy, as they seem to love having older guys back there because they know they aren’t gonna use them too much, I realized Fleury is still signed for one more years after this.
