Softy of the night is this Calvin De Haan goal on James Reimer



Not sure why I thought this was Aho. I was walking when this goal happened and I saw it live, but when looking at the goals I saw Aho, as he did indeed score two but not this one.

So that first goal on Vitek was stoppable. If he just keeps Haula from driving to his own net and falling into him with momentum I don’t think Dellandrea scores there.

Softy of the night is this Teuvo Teravainen goal on Pheonix Copley



Copley is almost an auto softy of the night every night he plays. He’s at least close enough. This was a stinker that tied the game. It was one timed, but it just horrible going in. He was there for it, but it still just beats him.

I was asked to do it one year and I did just for fun. I think it was either the 2019 or 2020 game.

The two that really stick out to me from this one were the MacKinnon goal on Thompson (Why again did Logan Thompson make the all star team?) and then that dead angle one on Shesterkin. I don't even remember who scored it.

Vasilevskiy gave up a bunch of just stoppables ones, including a couple in the last minute of the 3rd period of the tournament winning games.

Is Thompson no count? Always one of my favorite Bleedisms. Right up there with "Man Blackwood is so good I hope he signs a long contract extension with NJ this offseason". That one never gets old for me.

He's definitely a no-count scrub.

The first couple of years he was a pro goalie were spent in the ECHL. That's when we had him. He didn't even make the AHL right away.

He lucked into that role in Vegas this year (and last) between Lehner's injuries and Brossoit just being even worse.

His save percentage is above league average, but his GSAx on both evolving hockey and money puck are considerably in the negatives. He should have a higher save percentage than he does playing for Vegas.

He reeks of someone like Grubauer when he was on Colorado, who was a negative in GSAx in 2 of his 3 years there, despite being considerably above the league average save percentage all 3 years he played there.

I'm just excited to see what stupid dumbass GM acquires him in a year or two when Vegas knows he's not gonna be worth a raise. Some other team that isn't all that good is gonna acquire him, thinking he's the last piece they need to be competitive, whether it's via trade or UFA (he is already 26) and that's gonna go over really badly. Much like Carter Hutton when Buffalo signed him after a really good (FLUKE) year in St. Louis.
