On the bright side - this game makes your gentleman sweep prediction look pretty plausible.

We beat ourselves tonight, if we clean it up easy to see us bouncing back. All Florida really had was what we gave them.

We win the cup if KK adjusts. We lose the cup if he goes back with what lines he ran in the 3rd and the D pairs. We dominated at times in the first 40 and got goalied.

Frustrating our best line 13 19 28 got no ice time in the 3rd yet he played 39 71 like crazy and cut 93s ice time. 25 and 5 go brain dead for 4 seconds and cost us the game.

Please God do not allow Bright KK to turn into Dummy Jay.

The most frustrating thing for me is thing is that this was obvious before tonights game yet Knobby tired them again anyway.
Desharnais should be in for one of these guys period. Broberg has been good enough to stay in, neither of Ceci or Nurse were good enough tonight.

Disagree. The second one was all nurse. 2 oilers behind the net alresdy with the one panther and where does Nurse go? Behind the net
I’ll have to watch it again. But no back check or coverage on net front shooter is also part of the break down.

So probably 3 way blame on this play.

Ceci loses puck battle (it happens)
Nurse not positioned properly to cut off pass lane
Kane not back pressuring the shooter.

Didn’t love the wingers effort on either GA. Hyman and Kane both could’ve supported the D more. No idea what Nurse was doing on that 2nd one though

I thought Hyman really struggled all night.

Broberg was fantastic on break outs again, I don’t see him coming out of the lineup ever again
Neither did Nurse :sarcasm:

In purgatory
Perry just has nothing left unfortunately
Yeah.. time to put him out to pasture here, he has made zero contributions on ice. Slow AF, doesn't really hit or involve himself much in play, and isn't particularly reliable defensively either. Would rather see Ryan or Carrick, hell even Gagner back in at this point, over this washed up has been.

I hear you but I just cant see Knobby pulling Ceci or Nurse. Broberg had a really good game so he sure doesnt deserve to get the hook.
I have no idea what Knobby is going to do.

Oilers outplayed them maybe aside from the 3rd
But I thot Bouchard was weak offensively tonight too many blocked shot missed the net shots and passes intercepted

Puck has to go up to beat brovsky right now
And I don't think hardly any were high
Mostly low to medium

Hopkins had the chance seems to go a little to quick missed opened upper part of net

Better quality shots and Oilers will win

Gentleman sweep incoming!

Atleast we know we can play a game where we control the puck and possession and chance share. Really tons of positives to take from this game.

Bouchard was horrible tonight.
So many bobbles and unforced errors
It was an odd night for him, he was very good defensively and physical but he was a mess in the offensive zone with bobbled pucks and his shot getting blocked countless times. Still liked most of his game though, controlled the play pretty well in the neutral zone but once in the offensive zone he was off.

I wonder if he's injured? He was at least chippy in the regular season. I wonder if he got hurt in the YVR series?

I liked Henriques game. He only played 12:21 tonight. Only 4/15 on faceoffs.

Should he be playing wing in the top 6?

The 2nd goal was Nurse all day.
I have no idea wft he was doing.

Its like he is the real life version of Walter Mitty. He just zones out.

Idk - my 6 year old niece has figured out bad things happen when Nurse plays with Ceci already... How has an NHL team not figured it out?

Same with my 8 year old nephew and Bobrovsky - since biz was talking about how you have to beat him high last series that's all he talks about. "Got to go where Grandma keeps the cookies." Lol.

Somehow our coaching staff and pro scouts have missed the f***ing memo. It's kind of unbelievable.

Just 1 game, not gonna sweat it. Play like this in Game 2 and the series is probably tied.

I just have a few words to sum up this game. Nurse-Ceci, why?
Monumentally stupid to put Nurse and Ceci together and expect different results. Skinner simply can’t let in 2 goals on the first 5 shots. The first shot of the game and first shot of the second period. Goalies under Schwartz suffer from this problem

We are trying to win a cup, Nurse and Ceci are not going to be in the top 10 reasons that we win the cup, but they are definitely going to be top 3 reasons as to why we wouldn't win the cup if this continues.
