TSN-Mike Green could be traded for the right price.
Were so very said to see Green go he's arguably the best offensive defenceman in the NHL but we couldn't live with the way he played he's just pure offense and doesn't play any defense,if the caps want to win the Cup they need a shutdown defenceman that can play 25 minutes a night, with this trade we don't get one but we do get a 40 point defenceman when healthy, the defending CHL player of the year,The Americans highest scoring player in there WJC history and a 1 st round pick which we didn't have.

2010 3RD OVERALL PICK TO MONTREAL
The Montreal Canadiens have traded Tampa Bay 2010 first round pick (9th overall), our 2010 first round pick (18th overall) and forward Maxim Lapierre to the Columbus Blue Jackets for Columbus 2010 first round pick (3rd overall) and Columbus 2011 4th round pick.
We are ecstastic to get such a high pick in this deep draft. It was no secret that we were looking to move up but we didn't think until today that we would be able to go that high. Sure, it was hard to part with two first round picks but we felt that at the point we are, a future franchise player is more important to the organization. We would like to wish Lapierre the best of luck in Columbus. With his poor play last season and the emergence of Mathieu Darche, he had become our 13th forward. He should be able to bounce back in Columbus but his future was clearly not in Montreal.
