Needless to say, any PM negotiations (there's been some) with Anaheim Ducks, Arizona Coyotes and/or Montreal Canadiens GMs are null and void.

The expansion Vegas team's picks from these three franchises are locked and loaded.

LOL fail. Also, why would you select Radim Vrbata and David Desharnais, only to offer them way bigger contracts than they would ever receive in UFA? Why not just pick a different asset from that team and overpay for them in UFA?

Well in VanIslander's defense - I along with the majority of other GM's did not list players that were exposed, but it is obviously a good idea to consult the trades/draft thread when making these selections. I will add that to the Vegas expansion rules in future games.

To be honest I would've made the same mistake.

We will listen to offers on Braydon Coburn and Ryan Callahan. Wouldn't mind moving them out to clear some cap space, but we won't be giving them away for free as they are still useful players.

Still looking at dealing picks and prospects for an affordable roster player.

Vancouver is also very happy to announce we have re-signed Bo Horvat to an 8 year contract worth a total of $42.8M.

:nucks

In addition to re-signing Bo Horvat, Vancouver announces they have re-signed the following RFA's:

Erik Gudbranson, 4 years, $16M($4M AAV)
Nikita Tryamkin, 2 years, $3.5M($1.75M AAV)
Anton Rodin, 1 year, $1M
Brendan Gaunce, 2 years, $1.6M($800k AAV)
Michael Chaput, Joe Labate, Andrey Pedan, Alex Grenier, Mike Zalewski and Michael Garteig all accept their QO

Heading into the entry draft, we will entertain the idea of trading Chris Tanev. The asking price is a 1st round pick + a really good prospect, preferably a forward. If you're interested in acquiring one of their premier shutdown defenseman in the NHL, give me a shout.

Uh, because Vegas needs to take on a lot of salary in the draft, and the organization doesn't plan on picking a guy just for the sake of a contract: there has to be some on-ice value to the pick. By signing these UFAs, the team can focus on younger, lower contract value picks to build the organization's depth.
