Why would he need Murray? He already has his franchise goaltender:

Hey, hey. For all you guys joking about Bernier yet no Murray. Murray is old news, hes last years cup winner...why would he take that when you can have this years cup winning goalie, Bernier the GOAT.

Vegas selects Matt Moulson of Buffalo.

Moulson leads all NHL forwards in powerplay goals (6).

:vegas Vegas selects netminder Philipp Grubauer

The RFA played excellently in Olympic qualifying for Germany and is having a fine NHL season as a backup in Washington.

The talented Jets forward is injured but brings 40-50 points when healthy at center or wing.

:vegas Vegas selects Joel Edmundson

Edmundson of St. Louis is 23 and the 6'4 dman is already in his 4th year of pro hockey, under contract next season and RFA thereafter. He's injured but expected back soon, so shall be healthy come training camp.

:vegas Vegas selects Zach Bogosian

The 6'3 defender is 26 and under long term contract and has plenty of time to recover from his knee injury.

I (Calgary) traded for and protected him. I strongly encourage you to take Lance Bouma though. Or take Wideman and give him a 7 year, $7,000,000 per deal.

Also these Vegas selections are absolutely ridiculous.

EDIT: Actually I see you took Desharnais and signed him. I traded for him with Calgary so I guess that is your pick. Thanks!

:vegas Vegas selects Joe Morrow

The 23-year-old defenseman has had a tough time getting ice time in Boston but the former first round pick will have time to show his stuff in Vegas. He's an RFA.

I find it kind of funny that the only way Dan Girardi would have agreed to waive his NMC for expansion was because there was no way he was going to get picked

:vegas Vegas selects Anton Rodin

The skilled speedy Swedish right winger impressed in training camp and had 5 points in 4 NHL preseason games but is recovering from a knee injury. The previous 2nd round pick has several years of pro experience in Sweden and the AHL, but is expected to make the jump to the NHL and shall have a chance in Vegas. He will be an RFA.

I actually re-signed him, 1 year, $1M and will be UFA after next season.

:vegas Vegas selects Phillip Danault

The 6'1 forward is 23, finally has cracked the regular line-up in Montreal after several years of pro hockey at the AHL level. The former 1st rounder is on pace for 30+ points and is under contract next season, an RFA after that.
