Utah PK
- There penalty killers are very aggressive up top and Tocchet immediately points out that the counter to this is to go down low and set up 2-on-1 or 3-on-; calls it “plain as day”
- Coaching staff is a little frustrated because they have been telling the players that if you go hard up high, then the puck has to go low, and you have to make a play
- Says the coaches are a little bummed out about it
When Hughes was out, there were times where I felt like the PP was actually moving the puck around well, and this suggests to me that a lot of guys on that first unit are simply deferring to Hughes (hence they're not going low). Or maybe we have a bunch of really stupid hockey players.
