30-32mil top play?
Marner is from Ontario and loves Toronto. It will take a big overpayment to pry him away from resigning with Leafs. That's my take anyhow. And I see Zacha still in 1st line C spot here which to me is sad.He is not a top line level centre.

Chychrun likes the Caps, maybe enough to take a discount. I think he is a pipe-dream.

Dom, why no mention of Wanner's off ice issues? I think that character and behavior should be something that's part of whether or not you hire a player. There is a culture in hockey where people want to bury things having to do with off ice behavior for a variety of reasons, but I would counter that by saying that building a group in the room that respects each other, the fans, and the city they play for is incredibly important.

I can think of reasons why you would omit it, but I would request that you just tell us the whole truth. Because the hockey fans who read about this stuff and already have heard the reporting can tell immediately when that part is omitted. There were many outlets that reported on it. You could certainly do it, too.

As a fan, Wanner's on-ice performance hasn't been that spectacular, so it looks to me like this guy was just someone who needed a fresh start and a change of scenery.
If you have the facts on Warner's off Ice issues feel free to share. If not why the need to stir the pot

I just want the reports that are already public to be part of the public discussion on this public person. I'm not suggesting spreading rumors or anything like that. If you are over 18, and you are a public person, your behavior is up for public discussion. That's my take. If someone is worried that they are going to be sued for quoting Katie Strang from the Athletic, well okay. As long as we are not burying the conversation because "he's just a kid" or something like that.

And as an edit, somebody ought to ask him directly what happened.

Youre fishing for hearsay. If someone takes the bait it will cost them.
If you have such great interest continue your research elsewhere.

We have taken the position here that something occurred when he was a teen. It broke team rules. It was not considered criminal. He was reinstated.

End of our discussion.

I forget sometimes that ty is actually still reasonably young despite the 4 years of college at only 22 (just turned 22 this month) . You get used to a lot of these UDFA types who are already 24/25

I love that Minten scored that hatty almost especially to show Lysell that is how you show management you deserve a cupajoe. Force them, don’t ask them, especially if you’ve been here a while. That doesn’t mean I don’t think Lysell deserves a solid go either, we have seen what a small forward with a motor (also 22 years old) in Marat can do in Boston despite not doing much at all in Minny.

What if Sweeney thinks Poitras, lysell will make the bruins better? Maybe he just keeps them in providence. A mini retool tank job. Get a higher draft pick.

I read some where it’s a weak draft class though. Anyone know anything about that?

Maybe this is the right thread for this, maybe PBruins one would be better, but here goes: we hear a lot about guys needing to learn to play in the Bruins system, the responsibilities of the center, the defensive zone scheme etc. My issue is that it gets talked about like its inexorable. It's the Bruins, so there is this system. How about a different system that might be kinder on prospects? I would understand more if this was the system that had brought them multiple Cups since it was implemented, but the results over the past decade in that regard don't lead me to believe this system is sacrosanct. If it was the GOAT system, wouldn't we see a bunch of other really good, winning franchises using it? How about cleaning out the staff and letting some new coaches implement a different system? Okay, rant over, just had to get that off my chest because I am sick of hearing about the "Bruins system."
