I don't want Gallant fired because he's "ruining the kids" or a bad development coach or because he wont play Kravtsov or anything like that.

I want him fired because he sucks at coaching this team, veterans and all, makes awful in-game decisions, has absolutely no system, no tactics, and has made us the most boring team to watch in the NHL.

Rangers lately are not disposed to axing a HC during the season (see DQ, AV, Torts). It’s unfortunate, becuz in this case it would NOT be the wrong move.

The one thing I’m praying for in this scenario is that Gallant doesn’t get his usual 2 seasons plus 4 months. Let’s hope Drury ends the pain this May.
I also don't see GG getting fired during the season. Management had *many* reasons to fire AV mid-season despite his sickening arrogance and lack of self-accountability. So as long as they "like" GG they won't call a cab for him just yet. I'm more concerned Drury will waste yet more draft picks next March for rentals.

“No,” Gallant said when asked if he’s considered letting Trouba sit for a game or two to heal. “He takes some practice days off. He wouldn’t allow that. Trust me.”

You are the coach. It is your decision it he plays or not. He is clearly laboring and hurting the team. Sit him until he is healthy.

This is exactly why Gallant needs to be fired. He isnt running the team. The players are.

The playoff roster had Copp, Vatrano, Strome, Motte, and Braun. None of them are on this team.

Those 5 players made a big difference.

I think Strome is pretty much a wash with Trocheck. Give or take better D from Trocheck. However its becoming obvious Panarin's chemistry with Trocheck isnt nearly close to Stromes, which is an issue offensively.

From Vinces new article re, Kravy:

That's why, when asked if Gallant or anyone from the coaching staff has communicated reasons for his string of healthy scratches, he hesitated before admitting, "I don’t know what the situation is, but no one talked to me."

Same with Kakko last season for game 6.

Guy is grinding my gears....

YIKES!!!

That is a dysfunctional organization. Are we actually seeing a situation where the gm is giving the coach orders on lineups now? like in baseball with some gms who instruct managers on how to set the lineup? YIKES!!!!

Same with before last season when he said he didn't want to reach out and talk to any of the players after he got the job until training camp started.

that's absurd.

I do not get why there's a massive disconnect between head coach and players.

Say your goodbyes to this stupid Russian kid with the big mouth . He should have said nothing instead of something stupid . By saying what he did it almost seems as he he is once again forcing the Rangers staff decision making . He is all but gone unless he has a complete turnaround in the next two games but if I were a betting man I would bet he is outta here ......

The Strome --> Trocheck thing reminds me of when the Rangers decided to let Nylander go and replaced him with Gomez.

I think where we really miss strome is leadership. He was actually vocal compared to the emo mumblers we have right now

I have no idea what this is supposed to mean.

I am serious when i said gallant should be fired bc he isnt running the team. He should sit trouba regardless of how trouba feels bc his play is poor bc of injury. Not that complicated.

He is letting the players call the shots. That is not a good coach.

Its true. Say what you want about the guy but he did show some ballines when needed.

Rangers went from the world's most neurotic micromanager (Quinn) to the most hands-off coach (Gallant). LOL.
I was thinking the same thing when I read that.

Quinn was over-kill when it came to communicating. Gallant expects you to be a mind reader.

Still cant get over the scratching of Kakko for Hunt in the last playoff game, with no explanation to the kid or f***s given

2nd and 3rd string goalies have dominated us all season...
Yeah let's just make stuff up to make our case. We lost 3 games to a teams back up goalie. 1 being Varlamov ( who has had a strong record against us) and stopped 37 of 40 shots. Another Tarasov is an up and coming goalie and has by a lot the best save % and goal against record on his team and had a .968 save percentage and stood on his head against us. Starters we lost to include 5 of the top 7 goalies in save % and 5 of the top 10 in goals against including the top 3 in both categories.
