I have no idea what this is supposed to mean.

I am serious when i said gallant should be fired bc he isnt running the team. He should sit trouba regardless of how trouba feels bc his play is poor bc of injury. Not that complicated.

He is letting the players call the shots. That is not a good coach.
Omg. Stay blessed.

I have no doubt that right now there are conversations happening behind the scenes preparing for the next week in case this spirals.

I’m open to a new coach. I’m also under no illusion that alone is going to fix our problems. Only cap space and the ability to rebalance this team to include more speed will. That, along with creating the depth we desperately need as we simply cannot rely on our veteran group. They just aren’t the types to consistently put a team on their backs.

I don’t think Gallant is doing himself any favors right now, and is probably going to get himself fired, but…..

This is a poorly constructed team, and that goes back to the start of the rebuild and the trading of Stepan all the way to today. You can’t just draft kids high and hope for the best, you need to develop not only the players, but the structures around them to help them succeed and build around them. This franchise had one foot in both camps, got lucky in the COVID year, and have seemingly managed to damage 2 promising young forwards careers, give out some questionable and long contracts, and create this mish mosh of players that don’t seem to have chemistry.

Hockey coaches get fired after a week and a new coach can immediately fix everything. We will wait until it’s too late, and the new coach will mess up the draft pick and get us to just barely miss the playoffs.

That post is what I call hitting the target ! It is a terrible constructed lineup . Rangers always F themselves with the free agent contracts and ALWAYS overpay in term or dollar amount...it never fails . Goodrow-Trouba-Panarin-Mika-and Reaves . It seems to not matter who the GM is . Meanwhile we have a big kid playing reasonably well like Gauthier who likely would take a new deal with some security and can be a part of our bottom 6 for the next 5-7 seasons for peanuts who we almost lost for nothing earlier this season . Stupid stuff by the GM . Buch deal...idiot stuff by the GM . It is frustrating after watching this for 50 + years .

It’s not Gallant. It wasn’t Quinn. It’s Kreider. Zibanejad. Panarin. Sure Gallant or any other coach can play them less and make them earn it but honestly those guys just aren’t winners. I’ve said it before. I’m sick of this core. Maybe they fire Gallant and maybe things will change for a short amount of time, but it won’t last.

However, AV sucked.

The one coach who got us to a Finals is the only one who sucked. Cmon now

Really difficult to imagine a path that includes GG surviving this. The team is in an absolute freefall, and he's just saying the exact same things. Acting like it's all fine. He's not fooling anyone anymore, to me it just makes him look that much worse. Where's the accountability? I get standing up for your players, but f***ing A Gerard, how about standing up for the guys that actually f***ing care? To do that, you need to call out the losers who are supposed to be leading this team but are playing like they couldn't care less. Can't have it both ways.

Its time to fire Gallant. He has expired. He has lost touch with reality and is completely tone deaf. There is no discipline. No accountability. These guys are not playing for him anymore and they can continue to get away with lackluster uninspired efforts.

We saw the same thing with Quinn. It’s the fragile roster that needs to disappear
